It's not all about cost, in my case. I understand the x-series of drivers have more bass compared to the e-series. I was happier with the 325e than the 325x, but I know that many love the x-series.

GH1 with powerful tube amp is simply put magic. I use F pads for electronic, pop and L for more acoustic things. It was a combination I tried by chance last week (Aries Cerat Genus + GH1) and since then no matter what other combination I try I could not find better. Insane. Almost 150kg of electronic driving a GH1 to high heavens.I realised that life is not all about Susvara, which is what I have been using for the last few months. I had packed away HD800 and Grado GH1 but now I took them out again. In the last hour, I have been swapping headphones and amps. Between 3 headphones and 3 amps, there are many combinations and no I won't go into rolling tubes now because that will take my sanity away.
Anyway I was listening to a song now and it hit the right nerve, that moment when my eyes lit up and I didn't know what headphone was on my head or what amp it was plug into. Turning my head to look at the rack, I realised it is the Grado GH1 on my head and it's plug into Odyssey.
