My new G pads arrived today for my broken 325x

They feel very comfy a lot better on the head than the s pads
Removing the cable has helped a lot with the fit as the headphone are more free moving

Just sitting at home on a rainy night listening to jazz with my GS3000e.

It doesn't get any better than this.

Nice!!!!

Any metal or wood Grado deserves the parts from that dude in Poland

It blows my mind that it is up to us owners to turn a nice headphone into something spectacular.

When will the guys at grado realize that they need to up their game (well, they don't need to, but it would be nice).

Imagine a woody Grado with aluminum or titanium gimbals and rodblocks, detachable cables, and Beautiful Audio pads. Something to give Spirit Torino a run for their money. Heck, the Grado guys are Italian, they should have a passion for desing in their blood.

I couldn't agree with you more. I have had several complaints about my Grados, especially regarding the cable. Together with the lack of assistance in Europe, it led me to consider and sell my units, except for the golden one. The Hemp has been sold and the RS1 was on the market. Meanwhile my search for other cans started and I purchased a Meze 109 Pro from the Classifieds, which I have been using for a few weeks now.

I loved the sound of it, no doubts about that, especially the bass, the construction quality, the detachable copper cable. I didn't like so much the fact that it´s big and "heavy". I guess sound is the primary goal but other things are very important and deciding to me as the weight. In that matter I have been absolutely spoiled by my Grados. Even the Golden one, which is heavier than the the other 2, is still more comfortable in my head that the Meze.

So as much as I had and have a few gripes with Grado and I'm not happy about the lack of assistance, I decided to keep the RS1 and keep looking into the brand for the future.

The Meze, as much as I enjoyed the sound and a few other features, will go as I don't feel the urge to go for it, when compared to the Grados. Still a lovely unit for the price for sure.

Cheers.

Sad day. Had to let my sr325x's go.

I loved a lot of things about them, except for the 1 thing I bought them for, bass.

I found the bass too bloated / boomy for my tastes.

oh well.

I agree with you on your bass impressions.
The RS- series has much more detail and punch to them.
