Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread

I gave the E5000 a listen yday and basically if you’re looking for an IEM that sounds warm, smooth, cohesive, and extremely musical and pleasant to the ears for $299, get it. Literally works with any genre. It’s also very lightweight and isolates fairly well.

It is, however, not an analytical IEM at all. There’s so much glue holding together all the frequencies (great extension and soundstage btw).

Also, I can’t really dissect the frequencies as it sounds extremely well balanced. Maybe a bit too bassy but the dynamic driver will settle down.

I really wanted to buy it (owner gave me a nice deal), but I settled with a EE Supra II as I’ve been eyeing it for months (last demo unit). Would have bought the E5000 100%. Will probably cross paths with the E5000 again.

I can't tell you how much I would recommend E5000 to virtually anyone in this world :)

For 300USD, this is a top pick for me, really, it is exactly as you say, it simply works with anything, and that is something I appreciuate, sit on the computer, put on some metal, it works, put one some smooth jazz, it works, put on some brutal dubstep, it works :)

Simply amazing work from Final Audio

Imagine me coming from seeing you so much in the FH5 thread to seeing you here!

I saw the E5000 being mentioned a few times in that thread so I started looking into the company and this praise has got me VERY interested...

Not only that, but the below earphones - the MAKE Series? - look gorgeous... is there a thread or any ETA for them? Or even a place to get more details? They look amazing!

How are the E5000 comfort wise when work over the ear? Would it be as comfortable as this more bean-shaped design?

Can anyone sell me on say a FA heaven V ? I generally listen to house music, hard rock, metal , classic rock..

I've never really owned a good pair of IEM , nor any with BA. My sources are portable devices (iphone7) , daps like shozy alien, and colorfly c10

I was narrowing my search to such IEMs in the same price range ( campfire audio, Audeze isine series and some noble etc..) however all are quite different.

The heaven series seem to fit what I'm after, although they look fragile(?)

any input would be excellent.. I somewhat want to get out of the big overear HP game as the weather where I live is so humid and hot :)

I would suggest you move up to the Heaven VI or down to the Heaven IV (get something else that would be complimentary). I still use my Heaven VI as much as any other IEMs I have.

From the reviews I have been reading, the E4000 might be a better choice for me as I am looking for an IEM, preferably under $200 and worn down, that prioritizes vocals as raison d'etre. Please convince me that the E5000 is a better choice for me.

E5K has warmer but clearer vocals. A more sensual experience if you ask me. Both have their own merits but if you're looking for the iem with superior vocals, I believe 5k is the better choice.

This would also depend on the genres you listen to. 5k benefits more from low pitched male and female vocalists.

I haven't tried the e4000s, but the e5000s do vocals perfectly imo. After using these, vocals on other IEMs sound a little empty

Vocals have a lot of body+warmth, but remain very clear

That description sounds a lot like the Heaven VII. Have you given those a try?
unfortunately, no.

Would love to swing by the final audio showroom and try them next time I go to Japan

Ya glad to see someone also interested in it. I am here only because of this series. You can see more detail on its crowdfunding website: https://www.makuake.com/project/final/. In fact I would have joined if the crowdfunding was not Japan only.

Just sold my FiBASS and bought immediately E5000 to complement my Andromeda.
I'll report back my experience

That will be an interesting comparison. I’m a huge fan of the FI-BA-SS.

Anyone have experience with both the D8000 and HiFiMan HE-6? Please compare & contrast. Thank you.
