Thank you DannyBai. And I must say I'm a bit leery on advice from two people who hear the Cardas soooooo differently than I do. I rather trust my own ears... No offense meant.

DannyBai I do have a question for you. Have you heard the Re262? If so, are the V and re262' s mids similar? Which has more bass? Thanks.

It's okie. I was just saying that it didn't sound like the SS. That's all. Hope you like them. We're only at 1 degree of separation on this Heaven V adventure anyway

It's been awhile since the RE262 and 272.  I found the 262's a bit too forward but the 272 was one of my favorites of all time.  I think the mids might be closer to the 262's but adds the air from the 272's to make the V even more pleasing.  So, not as thin as the 272 but less thick than the 262 = happy medium?

But did the re262 have more bass than the V from memory. That's my main concern.

Don't worry. You are going off memory. I'll know soon enough. I'm excited.

Okay, I'm joining the FAD family. I ordered the Heaven V. Well, actually this will be my second FAD. I do own the Adagio III and thanks to james444, I heard (and enjoyed) the FI-BA-SS a couple of years ago. So I hope the V will remind of the FI-BA-SS a little bit.

Having heard the C and S and being familiar with your preferences, I think the V will be just fine.

Thank you DannyBai. And I must say I'm a bit leery on advice from two people who hear the Cardas soooooo differently than I do. I rather trust my own ears... No offense meant.

It wasn't bad advice, Eric. They just said that the older Heaven models A, C and S sound more similar to the FI-BA-SS than the newer ones. Was meant as a direct response to you posting "I hope the V will remind of the FI-BA-SS a little bit". The V may still be just fine for you, as DannyBai says, but that doesn't invalidate the other replies.

Looking forward to your impressions...
