Comply Tips Review

Less depth to the insertion with trimmed... but minimal, and the benefits of the trim are worth any difference. 

 
Besides, the configuration of the DBA-B2 allows for a pretty good depth regardless (unlike the Shure or Westone, etc.)

Suprisingly, untrimmed Comply P Slim provide a better seal and thus more highs and nice round subbass.
Seems the flutes aren't causing the nozzle to narrow any more than the already too narrow 2mm. (for GR07, in my ears)

I recieved mine today and I really like them compared to the Shure's olives. Feels like the music is more open, not as bloated and they obviously look and feel awesome.

I've always really liked Comply tips.  With my Shures, I use the black olives because they are more durable and quite comfortable as well but nothing is as comfortable to me as Comply tips are!  I also have a pair of Monster Turbines and even with their expensive tip kit, I couldn't find a single tip that Monster makes that fits me well.  (Strange because I don't normally have issues with that...their tips are all weird though!)  Comply is the only reason I can use the Turbines.

Not completely convinced by T / Tx series... good fit, but modify the sound too much.
 
But completely convinced by Ts series (spherical shape). Fit is still excellent, and they're shorter than other series, so they let the sound intact. By far the best investment ever.
 
I strongly recommend the Ts series, they don't get enough advertisement, and I wonder why Comply let them in the dark.

Anyone know if a certain colours lasts longer than others? Just wanted to know if that's the case.

There shouldn't be any significant difference in mechanical resistance due to difference in color.
 
But black will LOOK cleaner longer than grey for example since earwax won't make them look yellow-ish.

Thanks just bought some westone 4r and trying to figure out what to get looks lie I will ave to try T and TX and also Ts.  Shame u can not pick and mix to see which fts u best before u buy lots of tem

With my new ie80s I got a set of the recommended Tx500 medium size Complys and they went straight on without even audtioning the senn supplied ones.
 
Today I've had a chance for a bit of a play and tried the medium Senn foamies. Excellent fit and while not perfect isolation (neither do the Txs) they seemed less intrusive than the Complys which make my right ear in particular itch after a while.
 
I also notice that the medium senns are considerably smaller than the Complys. What I do like about the Complys is the wax guard. So based on this, should I have gone for the small Txs instead? They seem to be about the same size as the Senns and maybe they will be more comfortable. Anyone done any comparos?

Just got some TX-100s for my Klipsch S4s. Actually bought them because I lost one of the original tips, but these things are awesome. Much more comfortable then the S4 stock tips, and a much better seal for me as well. It takes off the shrillness that the original tips had on the high trebles (for some reason it was only on a "s" sound in the vocals, but its gone now anyway), plus brings the instruments much more inside your head. These things are awesome.
 
EDIT: The trebles were actually a bit on the tame side after adding the TX-100s. I EQed it up a little bit as a temporary measure , and Rush's "Superconductor" takes my breath away again, but I plan to try cutting them down a little (down to the filters) at some point, as recommended here.

My problem with these comply tips is that once I insert them to my ear canal, the stem is protruding out so much they hurt my ears!
horrid design! better off just use the tips that came with shure earphones!

Which Comply model are you using? Also, what Shure model you have?

The legendary SE535 special edition. The inside stem is sticking out as I stuff it both my ear canals! luckily it's just a tryout, i replaced them with a pelican micro case 1010!

So the stem goes past the tips inside your ears? I'd try instead of "stuffing" it into your ear, roll it between your fingertips to narrow it, then insert it. If you still have to apply force to get it in (which is what pulls it back down the stem) try a smaller size. They offer packs of S/M/L so you can try them all.
