BGVP discussion thread DM7/ DM6/DMG and NEW BA series

I ordered the same cable this morning . It looks lovely, and I want the straight plug rather than the right angle that came with my pair.

Different question: who has recs for a case for the DM6s? I'd like something that's reasonably protective (so hard shell or at least reenforced looks the old Shure cases) and that doesn't have any extra room, i.e. I'd like it to be small; no bigger than necessary!

I'm using this one and it's great https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Alu...essories-Headset-Storage-Bag/32904181844.html

This track connected to my PC via FiiO Q1mk2 through that balanced copper cable. The level of detail is crazy! I have listened to this song HUNDREDS of times. Just...These things are every bit worth the hype, IMO.
Great to see that foobar is still a thing; that really takes me back!

I actually I got this for free when I ordered my DMG, probably a promo during that time, anyway it's only $1.50 lol

Lol, at that price, why not?

I ordered that case a week ago. I guess I'm going full on BGVP branding. :o2smile: (if only the actual IEMs would ship... soon... please?)

BTW, did you guys notice that there is a SILVER DMG? I haven't seen it before. Looks like it's a new offering.

Maybe consider some of the bigger cases, dm6 can fit in the round one, but imho it is better if you have for example some rectangular case.
The ear hooks can take some space and I like to keep dm6 comfortable :D

can't really compare them because the sound sigs are really different. ER4XR has a "cold" tipe of sound, lesser bass amount, thin sounding mids, more bite on the treble. it's also has a more intimate soundstage (closer to the musician)

the DM6 is warmer and more forgiving/musical, meaning if you want to enjoy the music and not wanting to dissect and analyze the song, this is more suitable.

out of my surviving iems (the ones that i'm keeping) i would rate from warmer and musical to the colder and analytical:

DM6 - B5+ - Kanas - EM2 - ER4XR - ER4PT

i also have EDC3 that would fit between the DM6 and B5, but I'm keeping it off the list because I'm considering of selling it..not using it enough.to love it

Strictly in terms of value for money, which one is better? ER or DM6?

it may take some time to ship the white ones though if they don't have that color on stock, i suggest you order long before the Chinese New Year which is around early February if I'm not mistaken

I saw that Amazon had Ivory one in stock. If I decide to go for it, when I do, I hope this is still in stock. :)

I'm using the Pelican case, it's protective and fits rather snugly, with just enough room to squeeze in a cleaning brush. The solid coloured ones have an extra layer of protective foam on the top half of the shell, the clear ones do not.

This is how mine looks in the Pelican case:

You could try the the FiiO HB1 as well.

I use a few of THESE cases for my IEMs. It's a great little hard sided case, it'll hold ear buds with the foam insert or you just take it out for IEMs. Here is a couple pics, one of just the case and one with some IEMs in it so you can get an idea of size.
