I use THIS cable from Amazon, it's an 8 core OFC Copper/Silver Plated Copper hybrid and it sounds great. Plus, they have 3.5mm as well as 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced versions.

Ordered my dm6's yesterday at Penon. They told me they are only taking custom made orders at the moment. The waiting list to even get made is about a month. Also, the whole month of february is chinese newyear. So i'm not expecting them before the end of march.

I ordered the same cable this morning . It looks lovely, and I want the straight plug rather than the right angle that came with my pair.

Different question: who has recs for a case for the DM6s? I'd like something that's reasonably protective (so hard shell or at least reenforced looks the old Shure cases) and that doesn't have any extra room, i.e. I'd like it to be small; no bigger than necessary!

This track connected to my PC via FiiO Q1mk2 through that balanced copper cable. The level of detail is crazy! I have listened to this song HUNDREDS of times. Just...These things are every bit worth the hype, IMO.

I had planned on using the case that came with my MEE P2, but it's not exactly a hard shell...

yup, the DM6 will pick up a lot of detail from the source music, it's worth the wait

the DMG does too, they just have a different sound signature
