How do you clean the ear cups?
I bought them used so I'm not sure they are clean.
Can I wash them?

How do they look\smell? It seems the velour would show any signs of stains.. due to it's color... but, anyhoo i'm wondering the same thing!

Use a lint brush to clean the fuzz off, and then just wipe them with an antibacterial wipey.

Am I deaf? Or does anyone else use the high gain setting with the volume set between 12 and 2 for their DT990s\OPERA? Also I'm using the right headphone jack..

I set the volume about 12 for DT990/Heed.
Not sure I am deaf. lol

YIPES! Morph, that would be LOUD. I use the low gain setting, knob at 11:00...maybe you should get an SPL meter and measure...

I got some problem wearing the DT990 for a long period.
The ear cups put pressure to my head.It's too fit or maybe my head is too big.
I can't wear them for long time.
What should I do?

Can I just bend the headband?

Ok, now that's got me concerned.. I had the volume set a a similiar level with the Hornet (high gain) and SR-71 using the HD650s and K701s. I'll try setting it to low gain tonight and see how that sounds...

There is lot of recomendations to get DT880 with leather pads , but I hardly seen the same about DT990 ... Any reason for that ?

Easy -- because the DT990 already has tremendous bass.

(The leather pads are supposed to improve the bass on the DT880, which has a much more neutral frequency.)

with the leather pads, dt880 is bass monster. for that matter, even the dt770 pad on the dt880 is DARTH R2-DT880

Does this increase bass of the leather DT880s overshadow the rest of the frequency? Since the DT880s weren't intended to be bass monsters?
