HRT HeadStreamer: WASAPI woes in FooBar
The comment on the foobar website is correct. You can get bit perfect music with just direct sound. ASIO and WASAPI just makes sure you are doing it right.- PlasticChicken

Help on choosing an Amp+dac for Denon D7000
I also got the d7000 recently and I tried them on a few setups at my friends and head fi meets. I've been trying to find some good cheap setups for my cans ever since my DAC fried. So I began my quest to search for a good temporary setup so I can save up money for something like a Burson 160D...- PlasticChicken

SEATTLE MEET @ FRONT PANEL EXPRESS 1/21/2012
Quote: Would you be willing to sell your AD2K headband to me? I've been trying forever to get the part from various places. ATH US say they do not have the part since it is import, and ATH China and Japan will just forward me right back to ATH US. I'm willing to pay some big cash for the...- PlasticChicken

ATH-AD2000 Broken Clamp HELP!
My beloved ad2000s bit the dust the other day and one of the metal wires seemed to have broken off. Is there replacements I can get for this or should I try fixing it with superglue? Picture not for the faint of heart. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.- PlasticChicken

Looking for new cans (K701? DT880? HD600?...)
I listened to the DT880, K701, and AD900 from the same source and I have to say the AD900 was my favorite. This led me to purchase the AD2000 which defined bass to another level for me. Not boomy bass but tight, accurate, extremely fast bass. The best part is that they sound amazing unamped as...- PlasticChicken

Cleaning Headphones with grills
I'll try taking it apart but it seems a lot harder to take apart the ad2k. The grills are metal so I can try the isopropanol with lots of caution.- PlasticChicken

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
Just got my opa-earth but they forgot to add in the lead extensions (when i specifically told them i wanted them and paid for it) so now I'm left with a zero with a open cover. Hopefully the sound will make up for it.- PlasticChicken

If anyone is using Vista give WASAPI in Foobar a go results are excellent
Aww... When I tried to play 24 bit 96khz music, all i hear is lound staticy music. Anything past 48khz does this. Anyone know of a fix for this? Or could be it possible that my laptop doesn't support spdif out past the sampling rate of 48khz since I never tried before since today.- PlasticChicken

If anyone is using Vista give WASAPI in Foobar a go results are excellent
Wow thanks! When I had stuttering/static/popping noise on my foobar with WASAPI, I totally I needed to increase the buffer. Of course, that failed so I spend hours trying to configure settings on my foobar with no sucess. Now with the buffer set at 250ms I get crystal clear music. It was such a...- PlasticChicken

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
Sorry but I have to ask, I tried reading through 675 pages but it was too much. I'm about to order opa-earth and I have no idea how many I need and what "Extension lead of the OPA" is. I'm only using the zero as a DAC at the moment. Also, would I need anything beyond a screw driver to...- PlasticChicken

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
I'm loving my zero dac so far. I'm very interested in opamp rolling but I have never done this before. Is it recommended for a complete newbie to try the opamp? Was thinking about getting opa-earth for the dac and the LT1364 for the headphone amp although don't really use it is as an amp very...- PlasticChicken
