You have to trade off a little bit. My vote for V20. The UI is still laggy a little bit, but it's acceptable especially if you're familiar with non Google original UI. HTC 10 is a little bit more fluid, nevertheless the SQ is in a same basket with V20, each to his own flavor. Beside V20 has...- Onitsuka

Best Smartphone for audiophile
I'm not sure about the SenseUI as its purely subjective. IMO from using HTC G1 Android since day 1, and later HTC devices, Sense is laggy as any other non Google original UI. It adds too much nonsense customizations hence sluggish. The bold part is what I want to emphasize. This isn't how...- Onitsuka

I've used HTC 10 for one day and agree it has good sound quality but compared to LG V10, the battery and software aren't better either, tho it's closer to ASOP.- Onitsuka

Onkyo DP-CMX1 GRANBEAT | Dual Dac | Balanced | Phone DAP
820 is 2 times better performance than 650 according to AnTuTu benchmark. So it's far more future proof than 650. The heat and battery is only a problem when phone is put in intensive operation like 3D gaming. Contributing to audio quality might be better, as usability is concerned (lagging UI...- Onitsuka

Onkyo DP-CMX1 GRANBEAT | Dual Dac | Balanced | Phone DAP
I can understand for their choice of 650, but id like to see a more future proof CPU, especially with Android. For now it's OK, but putting down 800 bucks for a phone which will be sluggish as new OS coming out is a bit deal breaker. Onkyo might never release updated OS for this phone, or you...- Onitsuka

LG V20 Sound Quality
Even with V10, I think there's no difference as well. DAPs are expensive not because of their SQ.- Onitsuka

I have to suggest you go to sound science forum, especially this thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/570621/flac-vs-320-mp3/195 This topic has been beaten to death thousands times, and yet nobody could give proof or showed their ABX test to indicate their claims. None. Nada. Nothing. All they have...- Onitsuka

Totally agree. Except the .1% part. It's not better, people praise new DAPs just because they got bored with their old ones hence they need to justify their urge of buying new ones by unconsciously convincing themselves the newer are always better, even it's nothing different to their current...- Onitsuka

I didn't say the SQ was bad, it just doesn't live up to the hype and isn't worth for its pricey price tag. The clarity, the power, separation of instruments, just meh compared to my smartphone. I honestly don't see any point for praising the DAP, except from its cost ie "it's expensive so it's...- Onitsuka

Oh I'm just curious about the new DX200, at least it's not a overrated 1990s style product like LPG. And TBH it's not that hard to my wallet, consider it doesn't even cost as much as one of my vintage Pioneer in my garage right now. However I doubt I will spend that much money on a product like...- Onitsuka

Sad to hear. I also have a dead V10 because of bootloop. Ironically some people here on HeadFi just discarded it lol. I think we should stay away from LG phones for sometime, since even V20 also suffer.- Onitsuka
