What is your source? The splitter should be OK, but I'm not sure why it's needed? The TV could potentially cause interference but generally should be OK - many people run these units on their desk next to noisy computers and monitors so a TV should be similar.

Both Aeolus and Atrium sound great out of Lyr+. I don't think 300 ohm headphones are a problem for this amp.

The tube is a bit warmer and richer than solid state, and has a bit more of that midrange magic. It's not a massive difference but noticeable. I don't have other tubes to compare it to.
