Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
Thanks for the response. did remove the plastic before installing them, also used the original foam. The ones I bought weren't originals, though - just cheaper after-market pads. What I landed up doing was removing the little mesh coverings that were tearing off and just gluing in some foam...- hatefulsandwich

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
Well after extending the life of my earpads as long as I could by sewing and gluing them repeatedly, I finally went a bought some of those Bose QC3 pads. I bought two pairs since I anticipated tearing and I was right - one of them tore from the inside while I was putting it on. Unfortunately...- hatefulsandwich

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
So my earpads are finally flaking and tearing and I was wondering if anyone knows whether Martin Logan will still send replacement earpads or if that is long gone? Otherwise what are my best options for replacement pads that won't break the bank? I see something that looks nice and squishy in...- hatefulsandwich

Havi B6 !
I'm happier for them to be quiet until there's something solid to announce. We don't need another VSonic when it comes to releases. Besides, these are headphone enthusiasts. It's usually not a case of buying one product over another as much as it is buying one product before the other.- hatefulsandwich

REVIEW: Ostry KC06A - A New Winner
You'll want to edit your post as Head-Fi has a policy against mentioning that site. I gotta say that getting them at that price is a no-brainer, though. I'm tempted to get a second set even though I know it's pointless. Save my money for other gear I must.- hatefulsandwich

Light Harmonic Geek Wave
Some of the updates on the GO Kickstarter campaign seemed to indicate that they were well aware of comments being made around these parts. I think part of the problem is that they've shown themselves to be pretty bad with this stuff so far, but that hasn't stopped people from backing their...- hatefulsandwich

THE OSTRY KC06A ! THE GUY WHO SURPRISES WITH SOUND, CLASS,LOOK AND MANY MORE, :D
Considering how cramped it was, I'm not sure I could have fit earmuffs on. I swear them seats get smaller every time. That middle seat... there is a circle of hell where the punishment is sitting in the middle seat of a Boeing 737 for all eternity.- hatefulsandwich

THE OSTRY KC06A ! THE GUY WHO SURPRISES WITH SOUND, CLASS,LOOK AND MANY MORE, :D
So I used the KC06As on a flight today. They didn't cover the roar of the engines so bass suffered a bit, but they did isolate well enough that the babies wailing for the entirety journey did not bother me. I enjoyed the heck out of the sound even with the roar of the jet engines taking away...- hatefulsandwich

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
No idea - it doesn't seem like it ever really took off. I mean, can you find it available for purchase anywhere? If not, it's safe to assume it hasn't been released to the public and that's the reason for lack of reviews. On another note, please could you stop posting the same thing in three...- hatefulsandwich

Nice to see more KC06As are finally being released. I taped the vents on the body and poked some smaller pinholes in. I think it makes the bass a tad more controlled and focused, but I didn't sit and make comparisons or anything. Film scores are glorious on them. Had a session with Nicholas...- hatefulsandwich

T-PEOS Altone200 - 3 - Way - Hybrid Discussion Thread.
Is this supposed to be like a stripped-down H200 using the same drivers or are they uniquely developed drivers for this IEM? I'm assuming this has more of a connection to H200 than H300 based on the name.- hatefulsandwich

Non-Fatiguing Grado's?
I'm quite sensitive to treble and I thought I might be bothered by the MS1, but I'm not. I was intrigued by the Grado reputation for being great for Rock music and just decided to give them a try despite their treble-heavy, bass-light reputation. I was gladly surprised that the treble wasn't as...- hatefulsandwich

New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
Companies shouldn't be able to get away with treating customers badly because they make the best anything. It's not as if JH are the only ones out there making fantastic-sounding and fantastic-looking CIEMs. However I don't read a constant stream of horror stories about all manufacturers. ...- hatefulsandwich

I have $300 for a new pair of headphones with style and bass
Do some more research on the M100s, it sounds like they're what you looking for. You'll be able to get better information from people who own them, of course. Although taking something everywhere is usually associated with portability which is usually not associated with Full-Size... -
I have $300 for a new pair of headphones with style and bass
Oh really? As far as I'd learnt, headphones refer to audio devices that rest on your head while earphones refer to the ones that rest in the ear. I truly thought that's the basic reason for the different terms. In fact, I was corrected by someone a long time ago which is why I make the... -

I got tired of Tenores being mentioned in every bloody thread regardless of what that thread's topic actually is a while ago. New JH Audio flagship! "Siren Series Roxanne"
The feedback in this thread is downright shocking. I seriously feel for Mimouille. I know some are saying that the wait is worth it, but I'm sorry - that kind of customer experience isn't worth any kind of sound IMO. Never mind the wait time, I don't think I'd be able to appreciate anything...- hatefulsandwich
