Zen Micro Harddrive Whine
I experience the whine when using my stock buds as well. It's only when the hard drive is being accessed, and not very noticeable. I don't hear it at all with any of my other headphones.- mr.caliente

The Zen micro- i want a straight answer
iPod minis do not come with an FM transmitter. That's an accessory you have to buy extra for any player (well, most- a few have them built directly into the player.)- mr.caliente

Zen Neeon vs Ipod Mini
The iPod mini is heavy when compared to the Neeon. The mini has a weight of 3.6 oz while the Neeon's is only 2.6 oz. That is extremely light for a hard drive player. The Zen Neeon is a mass storage device (like the Rio Carbon), meaning you just drag and drop music onto the player. You could...- mr.caliente

Zen Neeon vs Ipod Mini
I'd go for the Neeon. It looks like a nice little (actually really little) player from Creative. My only complaint would be that the screen is a little small, however from the pictures I've seen of it, it actually doesn't appear to be that bad.- mr.caliente

The Zen micro- i want a straight answer
I've had my Zen Micro since early December. I have yet to experience a single problem. I also have four friends that own Zen Micros, and none of them have experienced any problems either. There's a good chance that your Micro will be perfect.- mr.caliente

Zen Neeon
I'm not a Neeon owner (there are very few), but I'd say go ahead and get it. It looks like a solid release from Creative- definitely promoting small, sleek, and stylish. It has all the same features as Zen Micro (minus removable battery), plus Line-In encoding and a 16 hour battery life- all in...- mr.caliente

Possible problem with Zen Micro, please advise...
I never have to wait for 5-10 seconds. There is a little lag when switching songs, but certainly not that much. Have you tried a disk cleanup? Insert the battery while holding the power switch to the left. The recovery mode screen will come up. Scroll down and select "disk cleanup."- mr.caliente

Final word for Zen lovers
I've heard that the headphone jack issue is fixed, or rather manufactured so it's less likely to happen. I purchased my Micro in December and haven't had an issue yet.- mr.caliente

New creative player becomes official (neeon)
I personally think it's a nice looking player without the stickers. It's also very small and sleek- compared to it's slightly fatter brother (Zen Micro). The whole "customization" thing from Creative may turn out to be a good move in the end though, you never know. For now I'd just take the...- mr.caliente

Zen Micro Initial Charge?
You don't necessarily need to charge it for 14 hours the first time. However I would recommend discharging the battery, and then leaving it to charge all night sometime, to help to work in the battery.- mr.caliente
