I've had all the initially released Bluedios (Hurricane, H2 Shooting Brake, T2, R+ Legends and now T3). They are targeted to the Beats crowd at a disposable (literally) price-point. Historically, the operative word has been "cheap" both in build and in price...Don't look for high build quality...

In the tests that I've seen the Kannons were said to rumble as-is. That is the selling point. If I need to amp them, why not get the SZ's?

  Is it safe to guess that since the original Kannon won't drop until November, that we won't see this open version until perhaps 2017?

Your link seems to imply that the 610's will have a sound quality difference due to the change in the housing and indicate a major change (from the 600's w/Black Walnut cups).  The X00 is already a subtle (sound) change from the 600, with an additional change added with the Purpleheart cups. So...

The only thing is, we get all hyped about the TH-X00 variants with non-removable cables only to find out that the TH-610's are soon to arrive, said to have detachable cables... I wish that there was more info on the 610's. Maybe they will be 600's with a detachable cable as opposed to the X00's...
