    Headphones for younglings

Hi all! I remember there being discussion here about headphones for babies but my search-fu ain't that great and this subject is close to my heart. I'm trying to find my baby her first set of headphones, as my HP-1000 (phillips) and K271 S:s are way too large for her Can you suggest...

Philips stuff: what is worth it?

HP1000 is a amazing headphone for the money, under 100€ is exelent! And new pairs dont suffer from crackling headband either. I think the sound is pretty similar to senn HD600 exept the bass aint as deep and refined.

Dark & Mystical or Spiritual World Music?

As we were talking about Finnish folk music (if you dig that that is) I recomend also Loituma, Folkswagen and HC Anderssen (which is nothing like finnish folk music, well it is, but anyway it's an differend animal) Also check out Flod, fantastic "folk" group from western finland, they sing in...

Dark & Mystical or Spiritual World Music?

Just to list few bands that are worth mentioning on these genres: Áine Minogue, pretty celtic stuff, mysterious.. I dont know if this count under here, but still great and dark stuff: Arcana And if you plan on looking into avantgarde side of things: Chien-Yin Chen is worth a look...

Dark & Mystical or Spiritual World Music?

I wouldnt under any circumstances call Hedningarna dark But if you like that, listen to Loituma also. (And Sanna Kurki-Suonio:s solo works, especialy record Musta). That is if you like lyrical Hedningarna also and not only their instrumental stuff. Edit: Equimanthorn is GREAT, dont miss...

    Anything BUT the K81 dj's...

Used K271S:s are at that price point. For me those are pretty much unbeatable at that price. And as a side note for those who say that these are sweaty, buy cloth pads for those or reverse the original pads, the otherside is softer pleather and has actualy realy nice feel to those.

    just survey, what studios use

Well I use in my studio akg:s K271S and use monitors for live tracking but then again my partner in crime uses HD580:s for live tracking and Genelec monitors for mixing.. Go figure.. There are differend animals in studios too! But mostly yeah, studio headphones are some cheap Fostex:s or Sony:s

    found AKG K140!!

Drooool.. those are HOT! I think I'm going to hunt one of those, and if I find one that's broken I'm going to mod my K271S in those, that would be ONE hot headphone.

    Trip-Hop recomendations

Thanks to you all about great information on Trip-Hop in general, it's hard to try to figure out which bands should be included in it, as the genre itself seems as flexible as an elastic rubber band. In this and the other thread about Trip-Hop I see lots of names that I'm VERY familiar with...
