JVC HA-SZ2000/1000 Impressions Thread
Finally got it, burned it in for a week. I can say these are rather bland straight out of player or DAC (Audinst MX-1). Add Fiio E12 with Bassboost & HM5 thick pads howevever, you'll be grinning with every beat. They sound big and that "in the club" bass is hard to beat. Usually gives me a...- migtan

JVC HA-SZ2000/1000 Impressions Thread
Been lurking around this thread for a bit, finally gonna pull the trigger on these. Going on a trip to japan next week and still can't decide which to pickup the SZ1000 or SZ2000. Cans I got and enjoy are the HD650, Denon D600, K551 and Fidelio L2. So I am looking for a different kind of...- migtan

The Ear Pads Thread (post questions or say what ear pads worked for you)
For future reference, the HM5 thick pads does fit Denon D600. Original Denon ear pads cost around 80USD so I opted for these. From a short audition, the boominess seems to be lessened, not sure that I like it though.- migtan

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)
For the FX850, are they worth twice the money from the Doppios. I rarely use IEMs anymore cos I still prefer the sound of full size cans, but the FX850s are so handsome and its only 270usd in Japan. The Doppio is only 105usd though. As for the SZ2000, just curious to hear how low they can...- migtan

The JVC FX850..Woodie perfection?. (A review)
Dropping by Osaka next week, wondering if I should pick-up the FX850. I am wondering how would they compare with the Zero Audio Carbo Doppio which is half the price. Would I be blown away or are they close to the doppios. Not sure what to expect, perhaps someone with both could chime in. On...- migtan

New DENON "Music Maniac" & "Urban Raver" Lines: D7100, D600, D400 & C300 Impressions Thread
Was sad to see that both my ear pads on the D600 ripped on the seams today after after a few months of non-usage. Was wondering if anybody ever replaced these? Searched high & low to no avail. Was wondering if the lawton pads or audeze ear pads could fit the d600, they do look handsome. Thanx in...- migtan

Philips Fidelio L2
Yup always carry them with the provided bag, cables in a separate bag as well, & straight into the bag after use. Its because its a fine looking headphone that I am being so anal about the few very small 0.5mm long scratches & nicks scratches revealing the silver underneath are pretty obvious to...- migtan

Going out of topic, the L2s do seem to scratch & get nicked easily. It sure is annoying as I do carry them around these days.- migtan

Philips Fidelio L2
I have the same observation. They do seem to shine only on better recordings, pop songs and the such sounded boring on them. On the side note after comparing the L2 with the NAD Viso HP50 & PSBs, I think I would keep the L2s. The PSBs were decent but did not really impress whereas the...- migtan

Philips Fidelio L2
It was the price amazon.it quoted me (not inclusive of shipping) exactly a month ago. It showed 199EUR when I added it to cart but 163EUR at checkout. Everything's good exact they don't seem to have a place in my collection. (HD650 at home & Denon D600 at the office, a few IEM on the...- migtan

Amp for HD650 or Another headphone.
seems like a great idea. That's if the Magni is as good as its claimed to be, definitely looks better than the m-stage. Not sure if voltage might be a problem as I remember reading somewhere thats it only comes with 115v support at the moment. We use 230V where I am staying.- migtan

Amp for HD650 or Another headphone.
Hi, while I have been hanging around head-fi for some time but this is my first post. Sorry for my newbie question. Well on to the question at hand. I was thinking of purchasing an amp for my HD650, my current setup Foobar-KS > Audinst Hud-MX1 > HD650, sometimes I add a Bravo Audio Tube...- migtan
