DACmini hook up from computer and iPhone 4S. I'm new to this and need help...

You should not convert lossy formats like mp3 to lossless, whatever you do. Once the mp3 is generated, musical information is lost and cannot be recovered. Converting them to lossless will increase the file size without any sonic benefit.

Been away from the forum for a while. SE425 on the way to replace E4 - what's the competition?

So the GR07 and UE TF10 compete with Sr425 even though they are half the MSRP? How would you say the Heir 4Ai compares to GR07 and UE TF10?

Been away from the forum for a while. SE425 on the way to replace E4 - what's the competition?

Wow, I haven't been on the forum for a while - the IEM market looks like it really filled out over the last few years.     My story is that I originally had the Shure E2c and shortly after the E4 came out around 2005 (2006?), I upgraded to those.  About every year or so, the sound in one of...

    New Radiohead On October 10th

My question is whether the regular CD will be a double CD - so that you get all the songs from the discbox - or whether it will just have the tracks from the download?

    Getting engaged..

If she's camera shy, then i'd also guess she probably won't want to be making a scene at a restaurant. Go for the beach. And congratulations.

    Experienced Birkenstock Wearers...HELP

I'll preface this by saying that I am a Birkenstock owner. Guys, this is gross - if the sandals smell so bad that you need to post on an internet bulleting board looking for odor solutions, it's time to throw in the towel. I understand they're comfortable, but if they're making you stink all...

    Yay! Internship in DC!

I'm a law student in Washington right now. In the summer, Washington is . . . HOT. And humid. DC can be pretty fun. There's nightlife in DuPont Circle, Georgetown, Adams Morgan and U Street. Live music at the Black Cat and the 9:30 Club. Jazz at HR-57. I grew up in the NY area and I went...

What do you think of this wedding ring (for me)?

I would not choose that ring. 1. Not just because I find it unappealing and feminine now, but because I simply don't think the style will age well. 2. I don't know if this matters to you, but it seems you're looking for something unique. However, as someone who's engaged himself, I can...

    Anyone use MediaMaster?

Right now this service is free. Essentially, you upload any non-DRM AAC, WMA, or MP3 files and you can access from anywhere with an internet connection. It can even interface with the Roku Soundbridge and your TiVo. Here's the link. Has anyone tried it? I feel like this is one of those things...

    Pink Floyd: where to next?

I currently have Meddle, DSOTM, WYWH, Animals, The Wall, and The Division Bell. My favorites are probably DSOTM, Meddle and WYWH, and I'm looking for advice on where to go next. I'm thinking Ummagumma might be a good choice, but would A Saucerful of Secrets, Obscured by Clouds, Atom Heart Mother...
