I realise that you may have to download these over a couple of days if you don't have a premium Rapidshare account, but this is the best I can do. That said, the music is very good and well worth waiting for! On a nice system, the recordings are really quite impressive.

Track listings will come up soon. They should all be tagged though...

I also uploaded "lower quality" ~160kbps VBR Medium MP3s as samplers to for those who want to see whether it's worth waiting for the full monty.

I strongly recommend that you do this first to avoid disappointment and waste of your precious time!

How deep does your bass go? Can your rig reproduce the lowest notes in these recordings with authority?

Thanks a lot for sharing!
I am working my way through the Apple Lossless downloads...

Not a problem. It didn't take long to upload anyway considering I was uploading at over 10MB per second on university connection

They will sound great on your Stax!

I am sure they will!
Currently traveling, but will give the 2006 (completed) and the 2005 (downloading) recordings a real test when I am back home on Tuesday.

Some of the music may not necessarily be something you listen to often, but the recording quality is phenomenal.

Some of them sound better on speakers than headphones because of superior soundstaging and imaging.

So there have been at least 24 downloads not including the ones for the ALAC files. No comments?

I certainly didn't expect this to be a grab 'n go job. Please comment on the recordings!

They were completely free. Tens of thousands of people have these disks. However, if higher powers say I have to take these links down, then I shall without hesitation.

Excellent recordings!
There are lots of great tracks on the 2006 disc, example "Au Revoir" with Bert East Ostlund. I am not into Asian music at all, so the 2005 disc don't fit my taste. Great for testing though...

Edit: Do you have any Artwork from the discs? Pictures of the front covers maybe?

The 2005 is all Chinese music... not my taste either. Incidentally, I really like the Au Revoir track. It's definitely one of my favourite. The full CD is "Bert East Ostlund" from the label Opus 3 (CD22061 if that helps).

Album cover for 2006. I haven't got the 2005 cover with me at the moment because I left that in Hong Kong.

Really fine recordings! Though never before into Asian music I enjoyed the sampling of Chinese pieces: the sound was wonderful and the variety very interesting. A real treat for an eclectic sort of taste.

Yes, the Au Revoir track is great. I will definitely check out his album.
