rachmaninoff 3rd symphony
just heard a glorius performance of the 3rd by M. Jansons and the St. Petersbyrg Phil. on EMI classics #62810. I was able to get it today at borders for 10.00. Recorded in 1992 and the sound as good as it gets. This is the best of the crop. Also includes sym. dances. -

amp for dt880
need help selecting amp for beyer dt880. been using zin v6 mini. and can hear it struggling to bring out low end capability of 880. maybe a stupid question but i was curious whether there would be a difference in the sound quality of compressing a sacd disc to mp3 vs. a regular redbook cd to mp3. there are discs that contain both formats and it would be an interesting experiment.- RobertR
