Headphone amp for sony xa9000es/belcanto dac3/Senn 650&AKG701?
Hello Folks. It has been a long time since I posted in this forum... Can you please suggest a good headphone amp for my system? I do like clean fast deep bass but not the 'bass hump' like you get if you listen to mp3s. All my music is ripped onto my computer as lossless flacs and apls. I could...- MoodyDragon

How do I get the Chaintech AV-710 to do digital out for surround?
I am simply unable to get the 5.1 setup to output any center or rear channel sounds to the receiver. I am using the digital out, ac3/pcm autoselect option and am in 5.1 mode in the Audio Dec. I am using the 5.12 version of the Via drivers. WHen I try to test the speakers from the speaker...- MoodyDragon

Anything better than SR-71 for under $400?
Perreaux still available for 199 from HiFi Farm. It is pretty good with my Sony XA777es SACD player and Sennheiser HD650- MoodyDragon

Strange smell from NAD amp (?)
Not to understate the necessity for caution, but my NAD did smell a bit too when I was burning it in. As people said, use it only when you are there, drive it hard when you are there and hopefully either the smell will go away or, the amp will just give up. Either way, you will still be in...- MoodyDragon

Not very impressed with Stax US importer
I had emailed them requesting to know what places in New York or Miami Florida I could possibly go to to audition the Omega headphone.... Inspite of my sending two emails, I have not heard back from them. Given the cost these sell at, rather disappointed at their sales staff.- MoodyDragon

should i go sacd?
If you listen to classic rock, jazz and classical, SACD is definitely the way to go. This does not mean every SACD is going to sound better than the cd counterpart, but a large majority will. Good luck!- MoodyDragon

Advice needed: Which headamps have cross feed?
I have finally decided, after extended auditions, that I need a headphone amp that has cross feed, if possible, as a switchable option (ie, i can switch it off if I want) I plan to use this either with the Sennheiser HD650 or by a new Stax Omega headphone.... I do plan either to use my Sony...- MoodyDragon
