Why not contact Perreaux direct at http://www.perreaux.com/.
They have a troubleshooting guide on their support page or e-mail them, but be aware that Monday is a public holiday in New Zealand so a reply may take a couple of days.

A search back through the amps section will show that some of the SXH1s did have a couple of problems but that appears have been solved with the later versions(.5). I purchased mine new in April 2004 and it's been trouble free.

Thanks. That is a good idea..... I am hoping to keep this amp for eventual move to my office.

Will email them, though with a new one coming, I do hope this one is trouble free.
