OPPO To Reveal PM-3 Planar Magnetic Headphones and HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier at RMAF
Apologies if this has been answered but I searched the thread and didn't find much recently but I wonder if any of the beta testers have impressions on isolation. I understand being circumaural and closed they should be okay but it's a pretty important consideration for me. Thanks in...- phatman

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
Cheers King, I suspected that I'll be better buying the amp for the HD800's given their impedance and that they'll be the more difficult to drive. The LCD XC being low impedence should be fine with the conductor and if not will probably pair with a cheaper amp/dac. Thanks again- phatman

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
I'm still deciding, though I'm committed to the HD800's I'm considering the LCD XC for my planars instead of the OPPO PM-1. I'm still not sure whether to go with the HDDVD or HA-1 or possibly the Burson Conductor though that keeps me single ended. I'm trying to get an audition sorted but that...- phatman

Sennheiser HDVD800 Headphone Amplifier
Apologies if this should go elsewhere but I am about to pull the trigger on the HD 800's and the Oppo PM-1's. My decision is whether to pair them with the HDVD800 or the Oppo HA-1. I am looking for a combination DAC/AMP for reasons of cost and convenience but am prepared to get a separate DAC...- phatman

Anyone changed back to iTunes 10.7 from iTunes 11?
My mac was part of the recall due to the western digital disk failure. The last time machine backup I had taken was about an hour before I installed 11. I know keep rejecting the invitations to upgrade and it means I can't allow apple to automatically install updates but it's a result.- phatman

Rap Sucks
Quote: Sound but you've displayed enough ignorance in this thread for your opinion to not be of any value. Hip Hop can be instrumental, not so much rap though eh think about it. You've name checked a few artists from a very narrow part of the wider hip hop spectrum and then formed... -

Do you think audiophiles have a much deeper appreciation of music than the general public?
I'm a music lover first and formost. I was a member of music forums before I started to explore how best to get the sound I wanted through headphones, which brought me here. I think anyone with a love of music is going to pay attention to how it's reproduced. A number of them may become... -
