Help! Dolby Headphone DTS Portable!
DTS does sound great, but it’s definitely not as prevalent as Dolby when it comes to encoding. In the headphone realm, DTS isn’t making as much as an effort as Dolby. With newer devices, like the ones you mentioned -Astro Mixamp, the Tb DSS- Dolby has played a key role in development of...- neks0ne

Amp/Dac on the Cheap...
I hear alot of good things about the Ibasso line. One of my deciding factors is based also on the Dac having Coax, or possible optical in. I defintiley know alot of headfier's recommend just an amp, or just a dac.... I just want to experiment first and see if my receiver is giving me anything...- neks0ne

Infamous:A/V Receiver vs.Amp/Dac
Thanks for the replies. After searching a bit, reading some faqs (mostly about tubes) and looking into Amps, Dac, Combos, etc. I think I am going to start with an Amp, and let my HK Reciever handle the DAC portion for now. My AVR154 uses a Cirrus 49510 for digital processing and as far as I...- neks0ne

Hd580 vs HD600
Well....I made my own screens for the 580, and definitley thingk they opened them up a bit.....but I am no where near the likes of the talented ears here. So....Maybe I just stick with the 580s and ignote the 650s too. Maybe its time to expand the horizon. Grado?- neks0ne
