Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information)
Let me make a short comparison between VE 3 demo, VE 6XControl demo, JH 10x3, SE-5 way at AUDIENZ in Vienna. Equipment used: - own Meier Audio Corda Jazz - Denon & own Meridian G06.2 CD Players - various CDs The VE 3 demo was a little disappointing tbh. I already heard it last year at...- Andreas2402

Vision Ears and Rhines Custom Monitors (formerly Compact Monitors)
I also heard the Stage 4 in November, but I only heard it from my Sansa Clip and it sounded kind of veiled in the mids. It'll be interesting to try these on a more potent rig together with Stage 3. I'm bet they'd improve..- Andreas2402

What is the best SILICONE ciem on the market
There aren't too many silicone IEMs. Sure, you have the ACS T1 and a few others maybe, but I wouldn't restrict myself to silicone only since acrylic ones don't isolate much worse. How much bass do you need? What have you heard so far?- Andreas2402

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Yes and that's why I just got an Accuphase DP-500 for the SE-5. I can't remember when I was as happy as I am right now. It'll be interesting to compare my Meier Audio Jazz + Cinch with a Violectric V200 + XLR, though that can wait Seriously, this combo kicks ***- Andreas2402

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
@flace congrats to your decision, you won't regret the purchase, trust me. I only had a little pain on the outside of one of my ear once, that's all. The only thing may annoy some people is that they need to be cleaned quite often. I especially like how it can really belt out the bass without...- Andreas2402

Review: Spiral Ear SE 5-way Reference - A new level of resolution? (Review posted 5/15/12)
Saying the SE-5 is source-demanding is a huge understatement. IMHO, it sounds so compressed from the Clip+. I also tried 3 different cd players with a desktop amp. Guess who will get an Accu DP-500.. I wonder how the DX 100 would compare, but I don't have one atm.- Andreas2402

[Need help] UE 18 pro vs UERM
My UERM was always treble-forward (compared to bass and mids) and sometimes quite harsh, as Average Joe described. Unless you're a treblehead, I'd pick another model. Does it have to be a UE model? Because there are other interesting ciems like the NT-6 Pro or LS-8 for your V-shaped preference, too!- Andreas2402

Whats the best Balanced Armature iem you have ever tried?
SE-5 - hail to the emperor... JH 13 non-FP / JH 10x3 / UERM / Stage 4 / Stage 3 UE 900 A little offtopic, but .. I was able to compare SE-5 vs HD 800 without background noise during a longer session. No offense to HD 800 lovers, but let's just say I have no desire to buy a HD 800 any more...- Andreas2402

Unique Melody Miracle Review & Impressions Thread
Good suggestion, Mimou. As a treblehead, I'd go with the NT-6 for a flatter sound or the NT-6 Pro for more enhanced bass & treble.- Andreas2402

Ultimate Ears In-Ear Reference Monitors Review
For me it's all a matter of what other iem you can compare it to. In my case it's the JH 10x3 and SE-5. Even though UERM isn't much cheaper than the SE-5 (~ 1100 vs 1300 €) here in Europe, it doesn't come close to the SE-5, esp. in the bass, attack/decay and presentation depth. The UERM...- Andreas2402

Audio Earz AUD-8X by Dream Earz Custom In-Ear Monitor Review
I was kidding.. but it would be interesting to see his review of the kaiser 10 or jh 13 freqphase .. cause i identify with joe's sound descriptions more than with others.. but you're right the miracle is popular enough so it doesn't need a review.- Andreas2402
