Home-Made IEMs
I purchased from SoundLink on Aliexpress, who will do separate shipping thing, i think via sea freight down to Australia, which sucks pretty hard. Still waiting for it to arrive. I asked him how long it will take, the answer i got back was "I have no idea", haha. I did try purchasing via...- ivanflo

Home-Made IEMs
Dreve have given me the bum steer, and by extension I have passed this bum steer on to this thread. They have now told me the raw lacquer is fine to ship, they just won't do it because it is a flammable 'dangerous good'. Perhaps i should delete my previous posts to clean the thread up a bit.- ivanflo

Home-Made IEMs
According to Dreve, Lak 3 in particular is explicitly prohibited as it is classed as a 'medical device'. Soundlink & Mcear unwillingness to ship it down here corroborates this. Since we can still get resins here in Australia without trouble, we can assume these are therefore not classes as...- ivanflo

Home-Made IEMs
FYI post mostly for the benefit of any fellow Australians who go searching for answers later. I had queried Dreve on the attainment of products such as Lak 3 in Australia. They let me know materials - "impression material and direct material" are considered 'Medical Devices'. Due to recent...- ivanflo

Home-Made IEMs
Are there any Australian's here who have been able to find a local supplier for Dreve Lack 3? I have found it on Mcear and ailexpress, both of which do not want to ship down under. I had been intending to 3d print my CIEM shells on my anycubic photon and seal the shell post initial curing with...- ivanflo

VOX: Mac OSX Music Player
Has anyone tried the Loop feature? at $49 a year it appears to be reasonably priced for unlimited cloud storage/download and sync on up to 5 devices. I am in the middle of a Tidal trial and am wondering about the performance of Loop.- ivanflo

Fulla (by) Schiit - News, photos, thoughts, impressions, etc.
my Schiit Fulla well... **** itself... all sorts of cutting out and buzzing all over the place whenever you even look at the dial. (i've tried 3 or 4 diff USB cables) It's a pity, I was even thinking of upgrading to one of their other stacks. The QC issues are pretty major, it has...- ivanflo

Fulla (by) Schiit - News, photos, thoughts, impressions, etc.
My Fulla has just started to completely crap itself. :( extremely distorted sound in right channel, no sound at all in the left channel until about 3/4 volume, where it clears up and both channels sound perfect again. Have Contacted Fulla, awaiting response. Have tried two computers...- ivanflo

Fulla (by) Schiit - News, photos, thoughts, impressions, etc.
Received my Fulla in the Mail today Ordered Thursday night and arrived monday morning... In Australia! Pretty damn good i reckon, over the new year period too. Using a 15" retina macbook pro with VOX, which was ok on it's own, but the Fulla has transformed my Q701's. Very happy with the product.- ivanflo

VOX: Mac OSX Music Player
Yes and yes, mostly. I didn't really word myself properly, but for me Audirvana has too much of a file explorer/finder look. Very 'utilitarian' and simple in it's actual design. Where Zune in my opinion, has a 'utilitarian' and simple design which i find more intuitive and experiential. ...- ivanflo

VOX: Mac OSX Music Player
I think VOX has a simple clean UI when compared to Audirvana. i find it just looks to cluttered, very distracting. I'm still hoping the second gen Zune PC Software gets released on MAC, we can dream right?- ivanflo

VOX: Mac OSX Music Player
I too am a dedicated Vox user, the app is wonderfully designed, i wish it had an expanded or full screen view. pretty intrigued with this infinity thing, perhaps it has something to do with Apple's Continuity or is some kind of music discovery/store? Being on the Mac side of the fence...- ivanflo

B&O H6 for $200?
I was about to buy a pair from the Apple store, $499 Australian, but they are in the same league as my B&W P5's which I use for University/College as you want too. What got me was the added clarity up top, the lack of low end compared to the P5s was a slight detraction, but the comfort of...- ivanflo

Thoughts on the new 1964 Ears V8
I wanted to get custom IEM's a couple years ago, but the price was just a little too far out of reach. With companies like 1964 ears, I think now is a good a time as any to make the jump. Will be getting ear impressions done tomorrow, then the long wait will begin.- ivanflo

Empirical Music Experience
I am pretty fresh to Head-Fi, have been lurking for a good long while now, but it's good to get amongst some of the ongoing conversations. HeadFi appears to have a large focus on high end, high quality audio with high end gear, and logically so. I am wondering if much consideration is...- ivanflo

NEWS: Apple acquires Beats for $3 Billion (Update: Full interview on recode.net)
Beats purchase May be related to manufacturing processes or perhaps current factories. I think beats has the capability to make brilliant headphones, they have just targeted a...- ivanflo

Audiologist recommendation Sydney (Parramatta) Australia
This is probably a dead thread, but I was knocked back by ihear in parra a few years ago. In fact I was knocked back by about 4 audiologists so i sort of just gave up on the idea. However, I am up for it again, any recommendations in Western Sydney anyone? I suspect it is getting to be more...- ivanflo
