Hearing protection recommendations?
Custom-molded ear plugs are not out of the question if I can't find any ear muffs or disposable ear plugs that can provide adequate protection against low frequencies. I'm willing to take the plunge if all my alternatives are exhausted. All of the graphs I've seen only go down to 125Hz and since...- labelbassist

Hearing protection recommendations?
I've been using Hearos "ultimate softness series" earplugs to protect my ears during very loud band practices, but I have the feeling they aren't giving me a lot of protection against lower frequencies. They are 32dB isolating. I'm looking for some ear muffs that give around 30dB of protection...- labelbassist

Censored Low End Theory?!
Does anyone know why my copy of The Low End Theory is censored on some tracks and not others? It's driving me insane! Is there an uncensored version, and if so where can I buy a copy?- labelbassist

Need help making a laptop into a good primary source
So I'm going to be getting a laptop in a few months. I have a pair of Grado SR225s, but the only sources I have are a cheap portable CD player and an unamped iPod, so I figured why not make the laptop into a good source. I'm not at all familiar with computers as sources and could use some advice...- labelbassist

I'm Craving a well recorded cd with amazing vocal harmonies
So I've always loved vocal harmonies, but the Pandora podcast about them got me thinking more about them. After listening to that compressed excerpt of 20 Minute Loop's "Cora May" (from the podcast) on my SR225s and getting a hint of the chills, I am craving some well recorded music laced with...- labelbassist

New cans primarily for rock music
I listen to a lot of rock and I'm quite happy with my SR225s. I find the bass to be adequately loud on most recordings even without an external amp. If you do end up buying a pair keep in mind that the bass improves as they are burned in.- labelbassist

Whats the most physical pain you ever experienced
I got appendicitis and by the time I got to the hospital it'd been ruptured for at least 24 hours. I'll refrain from going into gory details but I had to have an additional surgery and the next week was extremely miserable and painful.- labelbassist

Music. The world's greatest drug?
Music is definitely addictive, but in a good way. It's also pretty ridiculous how ubiquitous it is; people of widely varying backgrounds, geographic locations, ethnicities, cultures, you name it, enjoy listening to music.- labelbassist
