    AKG K812 Pro

Ultrasone should be hired to design the look of all headphones. But personally I don't give a **** about Ultrasone cause they sound bad and each of their headphone is about 30x times too pricey.

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!

Because when I don't like smething on first hand I generally keep on trying. In most cases it pays. The sound signature is something I will try to get used to. Still hurts my ears, but at lower volumes it it listenable. The headphones have some qualities and you have to find out about them. Oh...

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!

Ok. These pads are soft but they're made of cheap material and from the looks of it they will deteriorate very rapidly. I verified that I wasn't the only one making a sticky mess with them after 1 minute of wearing. How is this great engineering? You pay 200 dollars for a headphone pair and you...

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!

My problem is also the problem of many others.   Any problem people will find with headphones is highly subjective. Sound, comfort, etc. No one has the same ear/head size, no one has the same sensibility to sound, no one has the same perception of sound, no one knows for true what neutral...

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!

I don't have a problem with the fit, I just have a problem with AKG pads in general. That is why I changed the pads on my K702, K271 and K240. I prefer leather pads to vinyl and pleather. Pleather and vinyl get sticky in 1 minute and it annoys me. Not comfortable either.

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!

I must say that I'm using them more with the new LCD pads than the ep-007 pads. Both are great but the Audeze pads are softer. Isolation isnt so great but they don't leak sound at all, or very few. To me it's an obvious step up from the original (VERY CRAP) AKG K550 pads. The pads are angled as...

Oppo PM-1: A New Planar Magnetic Headphone!

HD800 are not a good example. They have had great reviews around and have sold quite a lot. Ultrasone headphones sell for a lot more than the HD800 and have not been well acclaimed. Some people will just blindly spend their money on thousand dollar headphones just because it is.... thousand...

Oppo PM-1: A New Planar Magnetic Headphone!

Actually, there are a few thousands of people who contribute to inflation in the audio market. Especially those who buy headphones priced at over a thousand (Ultrasone for example) but that are not even worth 100 dollars. Also these same people will buy the whole collection. Without them, no...

    Receiver as Headphone amp?

I'm a bit lost in the world of receivers. We recently got a brand new Plasma TV and a Panasonic BD player (DMP-BD89). Would like to watch using headphones but don't want to spend too much money and have a good sound coming from headphones. What are the possibilities? Do I have to spend 500...

    AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition

I've been listening to these more in the last few days. I think I'm getting more used to the signature. Reminds me a bit of my AD900 in some ways, especially when I'm listening to light acoustic music. Similar soundstage and instrument seperation, quite a bit heavier on bass. They feel less...

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!

What could be said is that small-medium heads will find the K550 to have too low clamping force and people with bigger heads will find it just fine or too high. I have a very big head and to me there is no such thing as too little clamping force. All headphones I have put too much pressure on my...

The AKG K550 Impressions and Discussion Thread!

I have both and to me the Momentums are MUCH better than the K550. Better build quality, better comfort, better sound in general. But they are also much different headphones. Momentums are very deep and warm while the K550 and more on the treble side (cold) and very bright. It depends on your...

    AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition

T1s might have their flaws. I haven't heard any headphone that sound half as good yet, but may do in the future. T1s still perform better in every aspect if you compare them to the K702. Larger soundstage, better instrument seperation, much better bass. Both may be a little bit bright (my T1s...
