Sennheiser HD25 repair fixing slipping sliders
I just bought an open box set of HD25-Aluminum from Amazon that I couldn't pass up on due to the price. They did have an extremely loose cup on the left. I applied this fix to the left cup and to the right as well. Now I have a nice tight slide on both sides. Thanks for the tutorial.- chewy45

Dual Denons: AH-D600 & D7100
They need a little burn in for sure. Same being said on the D7100. I have a compatible amp & dac that I use for low impedance phones. ODAC > Schiit Asgard. Sounds damn good. Works great on the D600 & D7100. The D600 is going up for sale though. D7100 sounds better to me.- chewy45

Dual Denons: AH-D600 & D7100
Quote: I love the D5000 with Lawton pads, but they leak a lot of sound and have a stock cord that is very lengthy and unmanageable. The D600's have pretty good isolation, 2 replaceable cables, and carry the house Denon sound. I don't think they're worth MSRP, but I did manage to find...- chewy45

[LIST][OPINION] Amp recommendations for Fostex/Denon Headphones.
Quote: In my experience, yes. I have D5000 and D600 and both sound very well with the recommendations from this post. I use a Schiit Asgard amp for both of these phones. I have only tried the E11 with the D5000, but I think it would do fine with a D600 as a portable solution. I...- chewy45

HOW TO REPAIR YOUR DENON D-2000, D-5000, and D-7000 HEADPHONES - If Your Cup Has Fallen Off The Gimbal
Quote: I don't mind resoldering the cable to the driver, but I don't see the rubber boot listed as a separate part on the schematic. I'll see if something might be available through Lawton or D & M. I take pretty good care of my phones and it disturbs me if some rubber strain relief...- chewy45

What! That happened to my D5000 too. Has anyone figured anything out about the fix? I have Krazy Glued it in and it works for awhile but I'd like to fix it the right way.- chewy45

Schiit Asgard: Unboxing and First Impressions
Quote: I'm using the ODAC / Asgard combo with my Denon AH-D5000. Great match up IMHO. I went with the ODAC because of it's smaller size and reviews. I've read that it can go toe to toe with the Bifrost, but I've never got to compare them myself. I'm definitely a happy camper with this...- chewy45

[LIST][OPINION] Amp recommendations for Fostex/Denon Headphones.
I just replaced my E7 with an ODAC by JDS labs so now I have the ODAC paired with the Schiit Asgard amp and Denon AH-D5000's. I can't believe the how much better the D5000's sound with this set up!- chewy45

[LIST][OPINION] Amp recommendations for Fostex/Denon Headphones.
...brand new Schiit Asgard and have noticed immediate improvements. All of the bloat is gone while still keeping the incredible bass of the Denon AH-D*** line. The Denon phones seem to be a great match for the Asgard. As far as DAC's go, I'm getting an HRT Music Streamer II because I need a...- chewy45

Quote: No problem at all as I can tell. I've been using it for about 2 months. The only problem I see is that it doesn't have dual boot. So far it is worth it. Rockbox make the whole experience on a ipod way better.- chewy45

COMING SOON: Klipsch Image X7i & NEW Image S4, Image S4i & Image S4A
Quote: I'm not sure. I personally prefer the X5 over the X10 even though I like a punchier IEM. Klipsch comfort cannot be beat though. The best fitting IEM I ever tried was the Klipsch Image S2. They are also the most durable IEM I've ever owned. I work out in these, and have worn...- chewy45

[Poll] Best Headphone's Under $200
Out of the 3 headphones I tried on that list with your sources, I would have to go: Sennheiser HD 25-1 II > Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro (80 ohm version) > Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro. If I had a desktop amp I would go: Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro > Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro > Sennheiser HD 25-1 II. I...- chewy45
