What!  That happened to my D5000 too.  Has anyone figured anything out about the fix?  I have Krazy Glued it in and it works for awhile but I'd like to fix it the right way.

You can't w/o getting new rubber boot and resoldering cable to the driver. Check with Mark at Lawton Audio if he has parts to fix it for you.

I don't mind resoldering the cable to the driver, but I don't see the rubber boot listed as a separate part on the schematic.  I'll see if something might be available through Lawton or D & M.  I take pretty good care of my phones and it disturbs me if some rubber strain relief breaks and maybe the ear cup assembly parts in the future.  I really love the D5000 sound and don't feel the need to upgrade anytime soon.

Is there anyone who sells replacement headbands for the Dx000 line?

the headband on my D7000's is becoming kinda...wavy for lack of better description.  like the foam inside the pleather/leather is becoming warped a little.  It doesn't affect the comfort or anything; it just doesn't look good.

If any Canadians are wondering, Denon will only sell a bundle kit for 20$ plus shipping (not sure how much yet) through microland.  I'm in the process of ordering a kit, can't wait to fix my D2k's...been using Astro A40's.

After two weeks of nothing from Microland  I emailed the Denon USA person I was originally in contact with to ask if I could just order the parts I needed from the US.  A few hours later I received an email from the Microland employee which just said my order had shipped.  Checked my VISA to find a 39.20$ charge for what I was originally quoted 20$+ S & H for.

At least getting the parts I needed for an out of warranty item only took a month vs. the two months I've spent dealing with Samsung replacing a defective monitor.

The cap on my Denons fell off, and when I put it back on it isn't secure and will fall off again. I've tried 3 caps so far and they all do it. How do I get these caps on securely?

Oh, and kasherkan, I strongly recommend using a tap and die set and simply retapping a screw hole through the piece of metal to make it 440 like a CD-ROM screw. worked amazingly, until someone sat on this pair.
