I'm very happy with the match especially balanced with the 000 cables. I also have the SR-71B but have a preference leaning towards the Rx Mk3 instead.

Mnd if I ask where you got the cable from and if going balanced makes a noticeable difference with the 334
PM-ed.

The delightful iPOD Classic 6.5 (Rockboxed) -> ALO Low Rider OCC LUX-FEP Low Profile iPOD LOD  -> ALO Rx MK II amp -> Miles Davis Pro Tributes

I knew that rockbox was working on a platform for the Classic but wasn't sure how it was coming along. My 5G Video is rockboxed and works great but how does the software perform on your 6.5G? Any glitches or anything?

Just hanging out at the local cafe with my DX100, Rx Mk3 & balanced TG!334.

Wow - DX100 AND RX MKIII.... If I had the DX100 I would probably go without an amp and single ended... What a nice rig that is!

No problem at all as I can tell. I've been using it for about 2 months.  The only problem I see is that it doesn't have dual boot.  So far it is worth it.  Rockbox make the whole experience on a ipod way better.

Ah! How could I have missed this?! That's pretty sweet. Nice to know that it's available.

I just noticed the pelican case.  Did you cut the foam yourself?  It looks great!

I really get a kick out of an amp in an Altoids can... Talk about stealth audio!

As long as you can show them it actually does what you tell them it does you'll be fine.

Just make sure your rig actually works before you go through security. lol

Just curious, for those of you who have DIY Amps, have you ever tried bringing them to an airport?

If so, did anything interesting happen?

Thanks! I wouldn't say that I cut it myself because it was the "pick n pluck" foam so it's mostly pre-cut into 1x1cm chunks.

I'll play.  Here's my portable rigs.  No need for portable amp thanks to a digital amplification on my Sony NWZ-A867, Z1070, & X1060.
