Actually saw some monster turbines today on the bus among the hordes of XB500's and beats. I haven't seen  anyone wear a pair of headphones you can't buy a Best Buy in a while, though.

Add another vote for the SR80's from me. I haven't listened to the "i" variation, but I regret the day I traded my SR80's. I don't think you can beat the sound for the price for rock music.

Anyone know what day in April the a-jays will be available?

Anyone have an idea what the best tubes for metal music would be? More specifically: Black metal, melodic death, folk types. Just have stock tubes right now.

Perhaps try to find some used SRH840's, I think i've seen them for ~150 in the used forum. They are a bit bulky and heavy, but damn they seal well.

My DT990's, probably because they're my reference point for anything right now.

I've owned both the classic and Zune, in my opinion, the headphone out on a Zune sounds better than the line out on an ipod if you can excuse the odd hard drive chatter between songs.

I use one for jogging with my FX-66's if that counts. SQ is pretty good actually .

Last time I surfed here after a night of drinking i went nuts on DIY interconnect stuff. I consider myself lucky.

I'm sure someone else will recommend this, but try to find a good used Technics SL1200, that seems to be the best beginner deck for the cash as far as a I know. Good luck and Enjoy.

I recently got into vinyl, haven't looked back since. My setup is: Rega P1->CA 540P->LD MKIII->DT990/SR80. If you're looking for new stuff in the ~500 range, it sounds great for the money. What's your budget?
