$89 Shure e4c on ebay - another scam or set of fakes

Way back I remember reading about a bunch of fake e4c's going on ebay for around $39. The other day, I found this listing for $89 +12 shipping. A stellar deal for new e4c's, but it definitely raises some flags. The seller has decent feedback over 5 years, but I suppose it could be a stolen...

    two questions about shure e2cs

You will almost definitely get the SCL-2. They are exactly the same as the E2C; the E-series was renamed when Shure came out with the SE-series of phones. I believe SCL stands for "Shure Classic Line."

What happened to the Shure E4 group buy thread?

so back to the group buy guidelines... it seems to me that the price offered in a group buy will be somewhat determined by the size of the group, and the size of the group is in turn determined by the price offered (e.g. "I'm in depending on the price"). Any way to resolve this by soliciting...

    New Shures...change in cord style??

I think he means have the "V" in front of your neck. The cords should wrap all the way around your ears and come down the front of your body. I also like to cinch up the "V" so that it's pretty tight on my chin. I find that this is the fastest and least awkward way to insert them and that it...

    Panasonic RPHJE50 v Sharp MD33 v Shure E2c

hey joelongwood, what do you think about the panas vs the sonys? is the midrange as bad on the panas? is it the same boomy bass and shrill highs? I would try EQ with the sony's - the spoken word setting on my ipod made them much better.

E3's and why I'm not happy

I think full sized cans will undoubtedly have more bass than canalphones. That said I personally don't think my e3c's lack bass, but maybe I am just used to the sound signature. I think they definitely do benefit from some EQ, and I use the latin or jazz settings on my iPod. I've had a number of...

iPod Mini: Etys ER6i or Shure E2c/E3c or ? Please help!

    1. My 3g ipod drives the e3c's really easily. if I am in a quiet environment, I keep it at 1-2 clicks from zero, and if I'm in a really quiet environment, I break out an in-line volume control. In medium-loud environments, I might push the volume up to 1/3. I think I might listen at lower...

iPod Mini: Etys ER6i or Shure E2c/E3c or ? Please help!

I'll also throw in a rec for the e3c's. I have not tried the ety's, but I've had both the e2c and the e3c. I completely agree with everything joelongwood said, and might also add that the e3c's are so incredibly small - very nice to fall asleep to. Also, with regard to microphonics - there are...

    Good isolating headphones w/ Shuffle

I'll second the recommendation for the e3c's. They have a really nice, full sound, and the mid boost makes them great for noisy environments. The over-the-ear design also more or less eliminates microphonics - which will be nice if you're going to be outside and moving around a lot. BTW, I...

some questions regarding the shure e2c

I couldn't sleep with e2c's. They were just too big. The ex71sl's are great for sleeping though. Couldn't even tell they were there... It's definitely a big SQ drop, but they sure are comfy.
