From what I'm reading, RS 220 is actually high-end...not exactly more than HD 800, but they seem have the same driver and performance equal to that of HD 600 or HD 650 (probably the best of both world, lol). Anyway, it'll be interesting when a wireless headphone has the same quality with that...

I'm don't know, I haven't tried CX 400, but from what I heard, CX 400-II is supposedly similar to CX 500.

I think most of senn CX series are more toward the bass, although CX 400-II has bass that is slightly more deep than CX 300-II, CX 300-II is boomy, whilst CX 400-II isn't boomy, it's more deep & detailed, but not as detailed as other high-end IEMs. I don't know about AKG though.

^ x2, you should really try and use them for a week or so, then you'll feel the difference... I tried some of the highend headphones/earphones when I started this hobby, but I can't really feel the big difference between then and the cheap ones...previously for me, ibud was the best earphone...

This headphone actually sounded pretty good, It's comparable or even exceed PX100-II in performance, details are better in AIAIAI.. The only thing I dislike is the shape, sure it looks nice, but it just feel so fragile and not as comfortable as some other portable headphones I've tried...but...

try look up the new Senns bud, seems lots of people lovin them...

I don't think there such thing as "east" and "west", would be pretty interesting if there's such things...personally I guess Japan get more stuff faster than the rest of asian market since the market there is very competitive since there's more high end stuff and the buying power for expensive...
