I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06
I prefer the GR06 to the GR02 (as Kova4a said, it's a smoother, more lush, more detailed sound overall), but I think you'll be happier with the GR02. It has a little more bass, and is well suited to the music you listen to. I consider it an excellent beginner's IEM. It doesn't hurt that it's...- Rex81

I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06
I thought I'd just chime in here and add my opinion since I own both the GR06 and GR02, as well as a couple other comparables. First off, I really don't understand anyone that says the GR02 is better than the GR06. The GR06, to me, is clearly a higher quality IEM. It doesn't lack...- Rex81

AD500, ad700 and ad900 and their BASS response!!
To the OP: Don't buy the AD900. As someone said, they're similar to the AD700, just better. But you mentioned you're looking for bass, and the ADs are lacking. Don't get me wrong, they're nice headphones. The mids and highs are great, and they have a nice airy openness to them. But the amount...- Rex81

Who is DONE? How long have they been DONE for?
Went into this whole thing looking for a great value and good sound. Searched a lot, (nothing too expensive as you can see from my sig) and finally found what I was looking for. Settled on the JVC RX700 and Fiio E5. It's all I need. Been happily listening to them for almost a year with no itch...- Rex81

Grado sr60i Worlds best?
I can think of a couple of handfuls of headphones that are far better than the SR60i for under $100. I suggest the OP try a few more headphones. The SR60 is one of my least favorites. Although at the end of the day, if you think they sound good, that's all that matters. Just don't go...- Rex81

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?
Yeah, I recently did a long comparison of the two. I didn't write anything up, I just did it for myself. Very similar sound signatures overall. The D2000 is very nice. They have more detail, soundstage, and instrument separation than the RX700. But in the end, I decided that the RX700 was 90% as...- Rex81

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?
Look at my sig. I prefer the RX700 to all those. Except the D2000. I liked it a little bit more, but it wasn't worth the extra price, so I sold it.- Rex81

Suggest me the most bassIEST and punchIEST headphone ever please...
Orpheus. Ok, just kidding, thought I'd play along... Seriously though: I would recommend against the DT770/80. This is a very overrated phone. If you can find it in stock, the JVC RX700 is by far the best under $200. After that I say the Denon D1001.- Rex81

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?
Ericular, Yes, felt mod helps both 900 and 700. I would avoid doing any dynamatting. I did it in my 900s before I gave them away, and it only added weight and cost. I didn't hear much of a difference. If you want more isolation, stuff the cups with teddy bear stuffing. I've also heard...- Rex81

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?
Ericular, Glad to see you finally have a pair! And if you like them now, just wait until 100 hours of burn in. When I first listened to them I was really disappointed, but they improve incredibly over time. I think you'll find the money well spent. And you may never listen to your DT770s...- Rex81

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?
Even at $100, I still think that's a good value for these. I found the Denon D2000 to be only slightly better and the cheapest you can find those is about $220 used, $300 new.- Rex81

DT770 + amp for notebook
I'm not a big fan of the DT770 Pro/80 (which is the most common one), especially at the price you mentioned. What is that, like $200? Yikes. If you do get them, you're definitely going to want to get an amp for them as they are quite power hungry and sound very dull without one. And if you...- Rex81

Good headphones, with good bass, that doesn't require an amp
^ X2. The D2000 is an excellent phone for your price range. There are a bunch of them on the For Sale board for around $220. They have very nice bass, soundstage and separation. And they're extremely comfortable. I prefer closed over open. To me, they're more fun. And I actually don't like...- Rex81
