thx Oggranak.

I'll consider it and put it on my list too, but it will be good if I can get the bassy and extended bass headphone without any mod, any more advise?

Lol, I wouldn't suggest doing it to any open headphones.

Well, bassy unmodded sounds like DT770/80s, FWIR.

If sheer bass impact is what you are looking for, then for about half your budget give the Sennheiser HD-212 a try. It has more visceral bass than anything else I've owned over the years.

The Denon AH-D7000.

Its bass blows the doors of the 770's, mainly because it has just as much power and hit...but it goes lower...way lower...like a really powerful sub.

Plus, its powerful yet clean. Bass notes never run together...they're always distinct, musical and they have awesome power.

The 770 gives great bass, but for me it was too sloppy, even after 300 hours burn-in.

the OP said around $100 bucks, I'm a noob but I have 3 cans in from of me. dt880, allen&heath xone, and ultrasone PL650
Only have DAC right now to compare with
Ultrasone has more bass than the other 2 with dt880 coming in at weak comparatively. If the pro750 of the hfi version is even more bass, I would consider that...
but be warned, the ultrasone are not light, sometimes I wonder if I would benefit from a neck brace... DT880 are super comfy, but bass is weaker. I have an amp on the way, maybe that will make it nicer.

Is this headphone more bassy and more important things is the extended bass, is it there on akg k81dj? because I have akg k26p but the bass is not extended and vibrating to my face, it's just bassy, but I dont know about his k81dj because its a new model maybe the improve it, have you had any expirience on akg k81dj?
and I checked JVC harx700, 900 and ha-dx1 , price it's ok too. Are they really bassy and extended bass ?
thank you oufpshero

is there any more headphone that I can consider it again especially with extended bass?

i have had the k81dj and it does have the bass extended- in other words its not a flat response curve-the bass is enhanced. ha-dx1 is a flatter curve but much larger sound. the dbi-pro705 has enhanced bass curve also .

you didnt mention your source- what kind of power are these getting?

another option- search 'ozma headphones' on ebay. these are ultrasone rebadges. the ozma 5 is a dj1 -sells for 70$ and has a ton of bass, the hardest hitting cans ever and can pound your brain into mush if amped and eq'd

Orpheus. Ok, just kidding, thought I'd play along...

Seriously though:

I would recommend against the DT770/80. This is a very overrated phone. If you can find it in stock, the JVC RX700 is by far the best under $200. After that I say the Denon D1001.
