first off "emf field" is redundant....   second...the emf is making your ears tired?    I think you're mistaking a debatable health concern with the feeling you get from listening to a headphone brand known to be very fatiguing to all but a few sets of ears......

Most of the time a cd, record, or a copy of a recording in general will be labeled as "remastered"......some are good some are bad....no tell tale signs other than by listening i guess.

How about the denon 1001s?  from what I hear, they're great all around phones that are darn comfy....also can be had for less than $100!  might want to look into some reviews of those here....

Hey, speaking of serengettis, I have a pair with the glass lenses, and I managed to crack one of them!  does anybody have a good idea as to where i could get them replaced for a reasonable price?  (i.e. not three quarters of the original price of the glasses!)
