Just finishing up dessert. Now looking for some change in my wallet, so I can get in on some of this action. It IS a deal, thanks bigshot! Would love to scan your music database some day...great reading, no doubt!

Also, great to see you expand your horizons, StratocasterMan...

Outstanding! I only moved up to the Bay temporarily from LA on a special assignment for a few years. Will be back to visit in January...thanks! And hopefully, returning to live shortly.

Okay, great! Minutes ago, I just downloaded 99 Most Essentials and Mozart's 100 something or other...

Rise of the Masters Mozart is better than 99 essentials.

Check out the piano concertos (particularly 17 and 21) and the horn concertos. Symphony 40 and 41 are spectacular too.

Just curious.....does Amazon automatically download the 256 bit version of these?  Or do i have to choose a file format somehow during the purchase process?

I was a bit leery of buying any music off of amazon because of the lack of choice of format, but this is encouraging, and I already know I do not have the equipment or the ear to benefit from anything better than high bit rate MP3......

Thanks guys,  Jason.

All Amazon downloads are now MP3 256 VBR. They'll even upgrade old purchases for free.

I can vouch for the fact that the Rise of the Masters Mozart collection downloaded from Amazon sounds great.

I'm feeding it through my laptop into my DAC, and then into my 2.1 speaker rig and / or my headphones, and it sounds great either way.
