Grado e Series
Selling both ATM on the for sale thread. Both have their merits but I am sticking with the PS500e as my sole Grado. The treble is a little tamer and doesn't affect my ears as much.- bookaboo

Grado e Series
I have both. They are very similar in frequency response. The rs2e has mor perceived bass because it has more recessed mids and more highs as a result. Classic u curve. The sr325e is more balanced with more upfront mids. The rs2e is a little smoother overall but the treble will play havoc with...- bookaboo

Anyone out there want to weigh in on the merits of the GS1000e - getting close to grabbing a pair but wanted to see if anyone has any opinion vs rs2e that I already own.- bookaboo

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
This is my exact dilemma ATM. Had a listen to the PM3 and H6 today - liked both!! Comfort of the H6 may win out in the end but its so damn close its a difficult choice. Someone who has heard both for a longer period may be able to give a better insight but I liked both and really cant choose...- bookaboo

OPPO To Reveal PM-3 Planar Magnetic Headphones and HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier at RMAF
This is in no way a fair comparison but I noticed you have the obligatory ATH M50 in your inventory. How do describe the upgrade? Just looking for a frame of reference. Cheers- bookaboo

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
Really interested in these. I'm wondering where they stand in relation to the similar priced open phone like the HD600/650?- bookaboo

Grado e Series
I may be one of the few people on head fi who actually likes the RS1e and feel it is an improvement over the RS1i. I find it curious that a lot of people are commenting n hearsay and have not spent a reasonable amount of time with the RS1e. I found the sound did open up after about 50hrs and the...- bookaboo

The ps500e should fit the bill but the rs1e isn't as big a disappointment as this thread would have you believe. I really enjoy my pair just as much as my ps500e and if you have the desire to hear full upfront vocal with no sibilance and a nice smooth warm mid bass hump then the rs1e will suit you.- bookaboo

Grado e Series
Theres been a lot of mixed reaction to the RS1e but after living with it for a few weeks now I must say I am a bit of a fan. I think it was time for Grado to make a slightly different sound signature for the upper models to differentiate them from the lower ones. Hasn't the criticism of Grado...- bookaboo

Grado e Series
I recently gave into temptation and bought a rs1e, I've only had them for a few days but I think they have ample treble and are very smooth sounding overall. The trick with these, as opposed to the previous model, is that they seem to be tuned to be used with more neutral sources in mind, maybe...- bookaboo

I did this exact comparison a few days back at my local Grado dealer. I own the PS500e and wanted to hear the RS1e so I A/B'd them for a time out of a RA1 headphone amp. I agree with the view that in an A/B situation the RS1e come off a little underwhelming vs the PS500e as far as sharpness and...- bookaboo

Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)
Going from memory, it's been a couple of weeks since I heard them now. The isolation was pretty good and the mids weren't as recessed as other ultrasones I have heard. Definitely more forward then the sig DJ. Not as full as the Sig pro.- bookaboo

Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)
The Performance 880's have a very even and balanced signature - great bass when it is called for, balanced mids and highs - actually the 860 and 880 are 2 of the most balanced ultrasones I have heard. The 880 is much along the lines of the pro2900 and sig pro being quite balanced with a slight...- bookaboo
