it depends, if i want ying yang twins(southern rap) , i'll choose dt770 because i like big bass and dt770 can deliver that. if i want the roots or bone thugs n harmony, i'll choose dt990 because too much bass just cover up all the details and everything in the songs. sometimes even the lyrics...

i'm a basshead too. audiophile01, since i got the amp and ep630. what you don't like about the combo? a super fi pro wouldn't give you THAT much bass in terms of quantity. quality though. if ep630 is 5, then super fi pro is 6 or probably 6.5. k81 is 8.5.

i actually think it is ok to hate a genre but i sometimes wonder, do they really hate the genre or something else. it's so easy to find "i hate rap" than "i hate country" or "i hate metel" in any message forum.
