    HiFiMan RE-600 Review

My audio engineer, who also insists on being anonymous, too says stop this nonsensical arguments.

Cosmic Ears - new CIEM company with great prices (including Hybrid designs!)

True (for everyone) or not, I would say you're saying right things. Even though it is often possible to get around taxes, it is a good idea to just pay it so you are never to be screwed by it. Like you said, some countries have tighter customs, others have looser customs. It all depends! It is...

Cosmic Ears - new CIEM company with great prices (including Hybrid designs!)

Ya, it is true that we Koreans have Free Trade Agreement with EU, so it is most likely that we won't have to pay any tariffs, especially for CIEMs because most of the time they are made in-house. However that doesn't go the same with 10% VATs. From what I hear, some of the CIEM manufacturers...

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

Well, the last series of events involving this thread was quite interesting at least.   Anyway to keep the thread on the track, I'm really looking forward to see how the RE-600 turns out. I actually had a RE-400 weeks ago, but I gave it to my mom just for a good measure and now I somewhat...

Cosmic Ears - new CIEM company with great prices (including Hybrid designs!)

Well, actually that depends on the nominal price. So ear impressions, which should be fairly inexpensive even to consider a fee for the audiologist, is most likely not going to cost you a hefty taxes. FYI, I live in South Korea and order things from US, China, Singapore and so on. Hehe.

Well, to be fair it is handcrafted for each customers ear impressions. That is a major factor in pricing.

T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

Hmm, I do know that the H-100 was basically a collaboration between T-PEOS and GE, but I thought T-PEOS was no longer with GE after those massive criticisms they received with H-100. Anyway, since when did people cared about manufacturer's claims? Hehe.

T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

Welp, I was poking at that 6k crevice, as there were several discussion about the difference in between manufacture's plot and Rin's in Korean forums. Also I would too say that you're quite right about the manufacture's plot is more similar to GE's target curve than conventional DF curve, as we...

T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

Nice job! I see your data say about the same as Rin's do. Although he never did any in-depth analyzations, he once measured and posted them on a Korean forum, Seeko: http://www.seeko.co.kr/zboard4/zboard.php?id=cool_review&no=340 About the manufacturer's plot, yeah, I'm sure if you subtly apply...

Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information)

As a man who have UM Merlin and Hidition NT6, my NT6 also has more tighter fit and longer nozzle than my Merlin. However as they are made from two different ear impressions with some interval between them, it could be just my case. Anyway, Hidition's tighter fit is not something of discomfort...

Guys, Rin has posted the measurements on NT6, both of the first version and rev.1. You can see it on here, although it's all written in Korean: http://www.seeko.co.kr/zboard4/zboard.php?id=review&no=26277 Hope it get posted soon on his blog in English so that more people can appreciate it.

T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

From what I heard, the first-party upgrade cables use the same material as yours, 7n OCC SPC. Things subject to change are plug, connectors and such. The source is T-PEOS official blog.

Quote:   Will I pay another grand just to get a slightly better one? Most likely not. However this is coming from the mouth of a guy who bought Merlin just about a month after purchasing NT6, so you can't be sure! Not even I'm sure. Maybe, maybe... We'll see.

I was thinking about SE 5-Way, UM Miracle, and even something like Cosmic Ears BA4, but I guess I'll stick with my UM Merlin. Here's a funny thing. I was never a basshead before. In fact, I was more of an Etymotic guy. Now I just can't get enough of this amazing (sub) bass. I think it's not...

T-PEOS H-200 - new triple hybrid IEM - Impressions thread

Well, it is true that we Koreans don't use PayPal much. However as most of you know, making a PayPal account is not that hard, and the other big retailer in Korea, Zound, already accepts PayPal. So if you guys cross your fingers hard enough, or just show demands, the guys at Earphoneshop might...

Quote:   Well, it's more of an introduction of Hidition and the concept of custom-IEM, as how Korea (not the best Korea, I mean) is pretty much a wasteland for such high-end phones. If you are reading this thread, it's most likely that you don't really need to watch that video.

Quote:   Shhh. You don't want me to get caught. Right, mate?   Anyway, this tax thingy is literally a pain in the arse since I got to those high-end headphone tier. It is getting harder to keep my budget tight, and their high price doesn't help it either. Still, this time I think...

Quote:   Yeah, although I don't really know a thing about EU-KR FTA, US-KR FTA allows people to not pay tariffs when the product is objectively made in the country. However that's not the case of VAT, and you'll most likely have to pay that, which is probably 10% or something. However I...

Quote:   Well it is true that it will (most likely) sound better if it came from the other side of the earth!   Jokes aside, I find NT6's sub-bass to be somewhat, let's say, hollow? even though the quantity was enough. Maybe this is why people still prefer dynamic drivers, or even go...

Quote:   Congrats! Also if your AK100 is not modded yet, it might be the cause of some peaks, as NT6 Pro probably has a drastic impedance curve characteristics, considering how NT6's is. Maybe it's the time to go RWAK100!   Just kidding. Maybe you should try them with low-impedance...

Yes, I am currently too busy IRL, but I guess you can ask T-PEOS themselves as they are currently planning on selling first-party cables, that are virtually the same as H20Fidelity's 7n OCC SPC cables. EDIT: whoops, I am indeed late. Nevermind.

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

Guys, I actually got my pair of RE-400 just about three hours ago. Guess what, I'd say they're one of the best IEM ~$100. Well, I do know they're $99, but still, you know what I mean. I think they will be my on-the-go IEM instead of the good ol' Phonak Audeo PFE 012 with grey filters.   Now...
