I was thinking that as UAPP is already accessing the Tidal API internally, it as well might play the Tidal downloaded offline files. But this may possibly lead to file sharing if they open up the file encryption and Tidal would not like that.
Makes sense!
Hello, I'm picking up an older Sony Walkman NW-ZX2 with the old Android version 4.2.2 in it. Yes, it's old. Do you know if i need to hunt an older version of UAPP in order to have it running on the NW-ZX2? I'm aware of the risk. Thanks.

Actually, I just found out that they are not encrypted, but the meta data is erased and UAPP can actually play the tracks, but you cannot really choose a track since the file names are also just random names. Good enough for shuffle I guess..

How do you play the offline files using UAPP? I navigated through the UAPP app to the Tidal offline folder but don't see anything there. I can see a few files when accessing the same folder via file explorer.
I'm using my hidizs sonata cable dac connected to my LG v20 with uapp but I cant get audio from other apps to work, I think I remember giving Uapp sole use of the dac but i cant seem to find that setting anymore, can anyone help?

There can be only one driver active at a time. After exiting the app using the back, the app asks the kernel to reattach the Android/Linux driver, but that usually fails. The only solution is to disconnect and reconnect the DAC. If UAPP starts automatically when connecting the DAC, you need to clear the app's defaults in Android settings -> Apps -> USB Audio Player PRO. The next time you connect the DAC, Android will usually (depending on the Android version and device) ask which app you want to use with the DAC. It's best to either ignore this by pressing the Back button or choose the app, but in the next screen press 'Only once' and not 'Always use'.
Hello folks! Are you aware whether app devs are watching this thread? I really would love the implementation of 10 Band Parametric EQ, unfortunately there are only 6 bands to tinker around.
Also i'm wondering if any of you folks managed to have system wide 10 band parametric EQ in Android, i mostly listen to music on Tidal Hi-fi and Qobuz.
Never really understood why people use equalisers, surely this means you are trying to compensate for a sound signature your equipment is generating that you do not like?
Or altering the way the music was supposed to sound?
This isn't a dig just a relaxed query
