@Davy Wentzler Have you given any thought to using UAPP as a basis for stationary streamer? It does pretty much anything we could've asked for including streaming services and MQA, looks great and is easy to use so a perfect software to run on a dedicated streamer.

Can you elaborate what you mean by that?

Ah, I think I know. If you have the cash, UAPP is the media player on the Resonessence Labs Fluvius:

Well, currently it's possible to run UAPP on a stationary device (raspberrypi, any android box) but it's not an easy process and you can't easily make Android boot directly into UAPP without any unnecessary apps running in the background (that would require Android Things build with UAPP baked in).
Software-wise UAPP has pretty much any feature users would expect a dedicated streamer to have (and even has few features dedicated streamers don't), so if it were married to hardware capable of running it smoothly it would could be pretty successful. Take a look at Volumio for example, they started as streaming OS for single board computers and last year they debuted their dedicated streamer (based on asus tinkerboard)
I think UAPP has a potential to be much more than just a mobile app and could serve as a basis for an entire streaming ecosystem. It'd require some work but considering how much you've already accomplished I don't see this as something impossible.

I installed UAPP and QOBUZ stream works much better bit perfect in compare to official app, which somehow go trough Android re-sample way. which is strange as Hiby advertise technology where all output sound apps will go by internal DAC )
anyway MQA is not available in UAPP on R6, any hope?

MQA is available for every device that runs UAPP through the MQA in-app purchase.

I know, I pay for it and it works well on my Samsung S9, but not in Hiby R6. Will check again.

What does it do/say? The R6 is supported by UAPP's HiRes driver, except for native DSD playback.

I know.. and it works perfectly. I only said is I was unable to decod MQA on R6, while it work well in Samsung phone.
I thought R6 not support it (MQA in UAPP), but as you say it should, I will check again,

You don't need to manufacture hardware from the grounds up, there already exists hardware that could be used as a basis for your own streamer (such as Allo's USBridge or even a plain RaspberryPi). The only thing needed is software to run on it.

Re the above mentions of the G5, V30/V40 etc., I should post an update on my experiments with the LG V30 ThinQ, a new LG G7 One, and the Tidal, Qobuz, and UAPP apps. @masterpfa I imported the G7 One from Canada via eBay.

The tl;dr summary: on the G7 One UAPP delivered perfect Hi-Res from Qobuz and blue dot MQA from Tidal via USB to my external DAC/amp.

In previous posts I was having trouble driving my Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital (DAC and headphone amp) with the V30 ThinQ. The G7 One has no such problem. The Pre Box is not really a mobile DAC, and requires external power at least for the initial connection with either phone, so many of you may not care but the V30 problem may have something to do with specs I found saying the V30 has "Power Delivery 2.0" USB, while the G7 One has "USB On-The-Go".

The official Tidal and Qobuz apps sent USB output through the Android OS, where it got resampled to 48 kHz in all cases (MQA, Hi-Res, whatever, all 48 kHz as expected). But UAPP delivered perfect Hi-Res from Qobuz and blue dot MQA from Tidal. There were a few MQA dropouts, but we know this is still common and not UAPP's fault, and when that happened I just went back to Qobuz to enjoy more Hi-Res!

The V30/40 phones are definitely higher-end overall, but the G7 One with its pure Android One system is a better fit for me, and it contains the same internal Quad DAC. The G7 One also includes a DTS:X 3D Surround option you can activate instead of the Hi-Fi Quad DAC control panel, plus an FM Radio app (if you're into that sort of thing) which is tightly tied into the system, locking out a third-party radio app I was using on the V30. But that's all internal. My main point here is, UAPP worked great!

Thanks for this reply, I was not even aware that the LG G7 was available with Android 1 (being a user of Nexus and Pixel phone prefer Pure Android)
The LG V30 and V40 only considered because of their specs but now I shall also do some research into G7 too especially if cheaper.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the <<{bck} Play {fwd}>> buttons could be slightly more spaced out? Just way too many times paused it instead of skipping it and i do blame my fat fingers for it.

Android has been always a trial and error thing regarding HIFI Audio. Unless somebody tests them...

Am looking this beast for a while Ziddo X20 Pro. Has two 3.5 HDD drive + ESS9038 Pro DAC.

Confirmed on a forum to work with UAPP after a firmware update.
