Hello, I have a question about this application, if someone answers it, I would appreciate it. I have a Xiaomi Mi note 10 Lite, in the specifications it says that the audio is certified hi-fi and hi res, so I was finding out it has an ESS SABER 9018 dac(Although I can be wrong) .
This application I understand that it avoids any Android restriction and avoids the chip that Qualcomm usually has due to the processor. So my question is, does this application automatically detect the DAC and will it play lossless or lossless audio than using the native player?
And another query improves the audio of other smartphones that do not have a dedicated dac?

You're welcome! Many are not aware of it. Davy (developer) had it in Playstore before. But Google took it down along w/ the main program because of some bla..bla.. stuf. Davy had to start over. So now to be safe, its only on its website now.

Happy listening!

I tested it for 20 minutes and the truth is that it does not notice any difference, I put the option to use the Hi Res driver of the Device, deactivate oversampling. But nothing, it may be that the native application of the phone already uses the built-in DAC and avoids the restrictions of Android.

Just ordered Dragonfly Cobalt for galaxy S10. It will be delivered next week.

As a preparation I have purchased and installed USB Audio Player Pro. Just to check I have connected my FIIO BTR3K in USB dac mode with in Galaxy S10, it detected BTR3K.

But strangely I am only able to listen to Tidal MQA files with BTR3K dac mode, none of my google music or any mp3/AAC files are audible. They are being played but no sound is coming from my headphone. Only MQA files are audible.

By the way, when BTR3K is connected without USB audio pro, it plays all files without any issue.

Will it be a problem for DFC also? Why in the BTR3K DAC mode the mp3 files are not audible with UAPP?

I have a problem when playing UAPP with Qobuz I am getting the stock album art on the maximized play screen. Everywhere else all the thumbnails are correct. Samsung Tab S Android 6.01. Same thing happening on my LG V30 Android 9.

Sorry to hear that, we have different experiences. You could try Neutron MP.

Hello @Davy Wentzler , I'm experiencing an issue with Tidal on the latest version of UAPP with my FiiO M15 with the Beta firmware as well as HiBy R5 with latest firmware. It appears there are issues switching between Red Book tracks and MQA tracks. Things I noticed:

When an MQA track plays and completes, if the next song is Red Book, when it loads it stutters for between 6-8 seconds on M15 and then plays okay (no stutter on R5), but the sample rate does not change from the last MQA song. Examples:

This song is 16/44, but the prior song was MQA. The sample rate in the notification bar still shows the same as the MQA song. It stutters like mad for the first 6-8 seconds on the M15 then plays. If I pause then play, or skip anywhere in the track, basically anything that makes it buffer, then it reverts to 44.1

The issue also goes the other direction. If a song is Red Book, then the next track is MQA, it stays at 44.1:

It plays fine and there’s no stuttering on M15 like MQA to Red Book (and no stuttering on R5 either). Same deal if you pause/play or skip, anything to make it buffer, then it picks up the MQA stream and the sample rate updates.

These are just to show that I have both players set up the properly play MQA:

Did not experience this prior to 5.6.1. I also just tested on a Pixel 3 with Zorloo Stella and there appears to be no issue in this configuration. Thank you for any guidance.

I have Hiby Music on Android. It does exactly what I need which is bitperfect to USB DAC and it's free. Any reason whatsoever to buy UAPP instead?
AFAIK HibyMusic doesn't support BitPerfect unless you're using a Hiby DAP or a USB DAC on a non-Hiby device. HibyMusic doesn't advertise connectivity with streaming services like UAPP does, either.

To support the developers of software who make it possible to bypass the restrictive Andoid audio signal processing and use a USB DAC of your choice to the manufacturers specifications. If Hiby works for you, then great!
