Just called them, they said that it would normally charge a fee for repairs, but since I bought it yesterday they might make an exception.. :S Is this normal?

I would say yeah..... most people that had theirs breaking the day after they bought it would probably get this treatement.

Most companies, including Logitech, will waive repair fees if under warranty and you complain to them a lot. Raise hell and they'll waive the fees to get rid of you.

Raise hell on a public forum that shows up in search results... and they will even more.

There is a dude in HK that does a lot of amazing IEM surgeries, including driver implants etc. He might be able to fix it for you, or put your triple drivers into another universal shell. Pretty sure he used SE530 shells once or twice on demand.

Other things like making all IEM detachable cables, making cables with mic etc. You can pm me if you want to :D

I'm so curious with Silver Dragon cable for my UE TF10, but after look at the price for 180 USD (about 1.800.000 IDR), I just only say "Wow, I can buy new new UE TF10 or Reshell mine at Unique Melody Indonesia".

So I ask my friend what cable in his option is the best for audio, he say Cardas.

So, I buy 1 Metre Cardas 4x24 AWG, Vermouth Rhodium Miniplug, and Pure Silver Wire as a pin.
Just spend about 480.000 IDR plus shipping (about - 50 USD), and work DIY for 2 day, I built my own cable.
And the cable sound quality is make big jump than my stock cable.
The sound of My UE TF10 so wonderful.

well, I got my Cardas CIEM cable from bizkid yesterday. Installed it on my UM Mage and I guess it is not too comfortable to have 24awg cable for IEM... I'll try them with TF10 when Iget the chance to meet my friend as I left my TF10 back in another state

Yeah, luckily they gave me some new TF10s when I went to their store today. These few days as been like an roller coaster, first happy cos of the new iems, then sad cos of broken connector, then happy cos of free replacement, now sad cos of a dislocated knee.. TT. At least I have loads if time now to give these guys a good go.

As to the hong kong IEM recabling guy...sounds very interesting. Wondering if he would replace my Sr80 cable for me :D and the tf10s in something like a westone body sounds s good...probably won't sound the same though :frowning2:.

On the subject of cables, do you think going from the horrible stock cable to another cable with a mic will have any sonic differences...? The mic cable seems like the logitech made cable for the vi version of the tf10, so there shouldn't be any big dfferences, right?

I see, yours use heatshrink tube, this make the cable feel rigid, that's why I made mine naked from the spliter to top, its more comfort due its natural flexibility.

Am I missing something?

Regular=56
Special=59.99

So wouldn't regular be better?

He means you get X2 cables for 59.99gbp. X1 for 56.00gpb

I'd jump in but I just got my Dark Lord cable. I would be defeating the purpose of using it.

That's still too much for me.

I may be able to test RC UE2 and just use that instead when it comes out.
