This is helpful, thank you. It's hard to gauge the Singularity's resolution based on listener impressions but it will be in my hands soon enough so I'll judge with my ears.
Its resolution is adequate don’t worry. Its quite good for the price I would say. But it’s no Xenon 6 let alone a Jewel is basically what I am saying.

If you don’t have a single DD in your collection you’ll likely appreciate it for its timbre and coherence alone.

I liked the Singularity at CJ Singa but didn’t love it. Resolution wasn’t all that and although impressive for the price, not flagship-level performance as far as I am concerned. Others’ mileage may vary. 🙏🏻

I like the Duality more. But would take Perpetua over both.

The synergy of the Perpetua with my Sony is the stuff of rock n’ roll dreams come true. Vocals give the Susvara a run for its money. ❤️

I wish you all could check it out on my chain with the Celeste cable (with or without my EQ).

"Resolution" is one of those terms that I think people tend to use differently. Many seem to equate it with detail but I've never thought of it quite that way, though the two qualities are definitely related. I like Holt's definition for resolution, which is "that quality of sound reproduction which enables the listener to distinguish between, and follow the melodic lines of, the individual voices or instruments comprising a large performing group". In this respect I would say Singularity excels as far as single DDs go, especially in the upper mids and highs. I've never heard Perpetua so I can't comment on it. I do feel you with respect to a good synergy though-- it can make all the difference in the world.

For some reason I've never gotten around to trying the LP6 with my Dorado. I spent some time with this combo this morning and it was magical.

In terms of dynamics/weight/analogue timbre the Dorado 2020 is a stone cold classic.

I got the MEST MK3. Been listening, tip rolling, and burning it in for a couple days now. I got it in blue, without the stock cable and am instead using a cheap-ish($50) cable from Amazon, but I also have a spare Thieaudio Monarch/Clairvoyance cable I could use. I'm not a big cable guy.

I wanted something that is a clear step up from Z1R, MEST 1, and the rest of my favorites, and the new MEST is absolutely reaching that mark for me. First impressions are that it sounds very big. Not just as it pertains to its very tall soundstage, but everything presented within that tall stage really fills it out. So vocals for instance, just come across BIG. Also, there is a lot of depth, and noticing things being in the foreground or background is easier than ever. And of course, it is quite wide.

It really sounds like some sort of unholy amalgamation of Z1R(bass and soundstage), Monarch MK2(vocals, balance, timbre), Aurora(note weight and warmth) and MEST 1(depth, imaging, BCD texture), taking the strengths of each, and turning it up a notch. More resolution than those, Anole VX, M9 etc as well. Treble is a little relaxed, but I find them bright enough. I also enjoy the Wolverine claw marks.

My only complaint so far is that there is some very minor driver flex. It doesn't interfere with anything but it's weird to hear in an IEM at this price point. Anyway, back to listening and tip rolling.

The Trifecta and Perpetua may be all the IEMs I need I am thinking.

While the Trifecta is insanely fun, punchy and even rambunctious; the Perpetua is insanely natural. Love them so much. The Celeste cable takes the Perpetua to new heights, as it acquires more resolution, bass authority, and sparkle.

This is a special cable, folks. Makes me want to buy the Effect Audio Centurion to compare and contrast these two amazing cables. I have had long demos with the Centurion at CJ Singa.

In any case, thinking of letting go of my precious Jewel, my friends. Hit me up if you are interested.

I do own 8-10 others but not sure how many will become keepers!

I pair my Trifecta with Centurion and by all means it is worthy of many, many hours of enjoyable listening. Especially paired with an R2R DAP like LP and you are in for the listening experience you desire. The Centurion tends to make Trifecta sound even more analog and tames some of the edges. Like decanting wine...takes the edges off those first tastes. I bought mine in March and haven't looked back...until this Rn6 came along with Orpheus.....But I'm thinking this is what I now want both Trifecta and Rn6. I have them flowing through the Phatlab Phantasy tube amp and I feel like I don't listen to any of my previous UM models or the Bird or EXT. I remember seeing a Centurion in the ads recently, and it has my full endorsement with Trifecta.

Depends on your preferences. This post by Deezel177 suggests that I would prefer Singularity over Duality. Trust your ears in the end.
Yeah, personal preferences aside, my thoughts on Duality (as it's tentatively called) were mostly determined by its potential price (around $1K more than the Singularity IIRC), as well as its niche tonality. A much-higher MSRP means I'd ask more of it than the Singularity. And, a less-diverse FR means it's more of a specialist IEM, which makes the price an even tougher pill to swallow (if you take versatility into account when making a purchase). It should be noted, though, that the Duality I heard was a very-unfinished prototype, so the final product could be good enough to overcome those obstacles. 'Hope it delivers like the Singularity does.

Hey guys
If Ragnar and Xe6 had a baby would you guys say it’s rn6 or is that too far off?
Really curious because I own both and would want something that’s tuning wise right in the middle of them! I truly enjoy both as how they are don’t get me wrong. It’s just an idea or fantasy I had if these two were combined what would closely result out of it.
And there’s no place better to ask this kind of question I guess. So this goes to the folks who had the opportunity to hear them!
TIA

I think the Rn6 would only be the child of that pairing if the Xe6 had really, really dominant genes. :D A more even split between those two would be the FF Grand Maestro, IMO.

I placed an order for a Singularity and I'm now wondering if I made a mistake. I guess time will tell.
Keep in mind Perpetua is almost three times the price of Singularity, and by the time you get to Singularity price, diminishing returns hit hard!

You might like Annihilator 2023. Really satisfying bass and note weight with the best treble response I have heard. I liked it more then RN6 and Xenon 6. I regrettably didn't enjoy the Ragnar due to the treble spikes. I think Anni 2023 does bass and treble better than all of these options.

How is the resolution on the Singularity? I'm hearing impressions that it's relative to Z1R/Symphonium x Nightjar Meteor.
It really depends on the cable. The stock cable is not very clean.

I ordered it with the 4-wire Vanguard which I hope positively impacts the resolution/technicalities.

What cables do you recommend with the Singularity?

So a company is going to produce a $1300 IEM, flagship level, and you're saying they're going to pair it with a cable that's not very "clean?"

Do you guys honestly believe this stuff?
You obviously haven't seen / heard the cable that the 64 audio IEM's used to come with....

That wouldn't surprise me at all, see Aroma Jewel (5130 USD with a very cheap and bad sounding cable) 🤷🏻‍♂️.
