Well, unfortunately you can forget about the better price. However, the UM RedHalo/Le Jardin ( they are exactly the same internally ) do lift a slight veil in the midrange from the Mason FuSang. They are vocal specialists and I would highly recommend you find a way to demo them if you are thinking of purchasing the FuSang. Good luck on your journey.Tnx much for that! Those names don't ring a bell; probably because my wish list dates from when I was active on this thread at the end of 2021. I will certainly look into these models. Although it looks like I might be able to adjust the Mason FuSang using an excellent cable and possible a much better source the end result will be an extremely expensive setup. Perhaps the Red Halo FE or Le Jardin take away the critical points of the Mason FuSang+ setup for a better price? Finding them for a demo might be an impossible challenge though. If they had been available at the shop I demoed the Mason FuSang then for sure they had told me. But since I've spent a whole afternoon there and they know exactly what I'm looking for I can perhaps ask them if they can fly them in for when I return to Singapore. I would certainly be willing to sponsor that opportunity.

so these just came in last night. Still figuring out which tips are the best for me. Any recommendations? Currently trying the azla crystals on it
Edit: used these when I paired Indigo with MAX.

I rarely use Azla Crystals on anything anymore. I find the other Azla tips are better. The Crystals give you a great seal, but they tend to thin out the sound of the IEM. The AzlaSednaEarfit tips are my favorite. The come in long and short, Light and Dark. I always maintain all 4 of them ready for demos and I try them all too see which ones sound best with the IEM and DAP pairing I am listening to. I use the dark and long version (black with gray gasket) of the Azla with Indigo . I find it gives the Indigo the best bass response. But, you tune it to taste. The main reason I like the Azla tips is because they give me the most reliable high quality seal with comfortability.

Agreed, I have been sticking to Azla as well, mainly light and light shorts. Recently shifted everything to the new Azla Max. Not hard for me at all. It’s not easy to chose a UM flagship between:
Mason FUSang (black purple)
Mason Fabled Sound (blue)
Mason Fabled sound Red Halo
For me, it's Red Halo FE with First Times Shielding cable from the regular Red Halo. It is my favorite shell of the collection. And, the Red Halo First Times Shielding cable makes it sound best and is highlighted in Red which really complements the Red Halo FE shell.
I also have the Meet Again cable. I have not yet A/B tested it against the First Times Shielding. It's not clear to me that they are different cables even though Peter Wong himself says they are different.
I am using the Azla Max on the Sony XM4s. They are very soft and I am concerned about what that does to sound which is why I haven't tried them with an IEMs.Agreed, I have been sticking to Azla as well, mainly light and light shorts. Thanks @MatW for this playlist. These impressions are based on a fairly short listening session, and a limited number of songs/genres (from the Ultimate System Testers playlist on Tidal)
My friend is a black jack card dealer.Speak to @HiFiHawaii808, I believe he can hook you up with acontrabandhead-fi dealer in Vegas.

Crystals and the OG regular Sednas are my main tips...with Spiral Dots++ occasionally if the IEM will fit them. I like the Crystals because the material they're made of is super comfortable.
The best one is the one you have. It’s not easy to chose a UM flagship between:

If you do not have one yet and want one then;
They are all very similar to me, FUSang is the one that has the biggest gap in presentation when I compared, even there the gap was not drastic to my ears. Once you advance to one of the FS models they sound very similar.
It would be interesting for someone to conduct a blind test and see if anyone can actually tell, a test where the same set could be twice in a row demoed and others mixed in. The listener writes down which one they think was each test. The more people take the test the better. I know I would fail the test.
This is probably right on. I am not sure because I have not had a chance to spend significant time with the OG FS. I did spend a few minutes with it in New York, but that was before I even decided on buying the Red Halo FE so I did not get a sufficient listen to evaluate it. I do know that people who love it, really love it. And, those who don't like it, really don't like it. For me, I love the ultra thick mids for vocals and any mids centric music. The best one is the one you have.

Didn't know it is that much polarizing. I must say I find it good but not perfect for my playlists. This is probably right on. There are a lot of specialist IEMs out there which do one aspect very well, but the vocal performance of the MSF is just out of this world. I can't get that joy with any other headphone, not Susvara or the like.

I almost thought your avatar was a UM Mason FS until I zoomed in.
