I've just got my LCD-X back from repair and I agree with the above. But I've been loving the T1 while its been gone - with my Metrum stack, the sense of space and ambience the T1 achieves in unrivalled (in my limited experience).

Looks like quite a few of us really enjoy owning both the Xs and the T1s

Hi guys, I'm contemplating on getting another pair of T1s, should I do it? The original "classic trio" consist of HD600, DT880, and K701 right? I have this urge to collect the successors of the classic trio, and the T1 is the only missing link to complete it
And I can't deny the fact that I do miss the sound sig of the T1...

Oh come on... We all know you've already made your mind up.
But I'll play along in this game if you want me to. *Yes get it.*
On a related note, I have recently become very interested in the K812... reading through its discussion thread at the moment.

I am torn between two choices, really. Either to get the T1, or the LCD-2, though I still have concern about the weight of Audezes...

I already have a T1 and looking for amp / DAC for it.
Using Fiio E17+E09K now, the sound is slightly warm, but lacks dynamic, sometimes a little boring.
I'm planning to get a W4S uDAC (not uDAC HD), with a tube amp (Schiit Valhalla 2 or Crack+Speedball).
Anyone has similar setting or experience on this?
Thanks

I strongly advice you to buy T1 with Audeze pads. best sound and more comfortable than the original T1's pads.
with Audeze pads you willl get more bass.

Yeah, I also find LCD-3 Pads more comfy, sound wise, doesn't it form create a blockage to the sound? The audeze pad is oval shaped, while the T1 are circular.

It does sound nice on Btlhd Crack + Speedball.Smooth treble, Good bass & nice tone (of course the type of tube plays a role).Have ordered the Schiit Val 2 but its out of stock & expected by end Nov. Will post about the pairing with the Val 2.

After some time on the Audeze pads it seems they are a bit too bass boomy, both leather and suede (suede more then the leather). Am again interested in the foam cube mod discussed previously and back to the OEM pads. Really needs something exactly in between oem and audeze in suede.

Looking forward to your thoughts on the foam cube mod, Groovy. Should be only a week or so away I expect!

I think the T1 and the K812 are both interesting, showing slightly different facets, both very good in their own right. While I still can't warm up to the HD800 I'm quite happy to have both the T1 and the K812.
