The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread

Heard the 90th Anniversary version with Cardas Clear Light cable, even new, there is a roundness and air that outdo the original version at a premium of 25% more to the cost, the cups are black and each numbered with a total of only 600 units only, a must for the dead hard fans

Are you talking about the T90 or the T1 ? As far as I know only T90 has an Anniversary version.

Question for those of you using the Audeze pads with your T1's:  Did you cut out the foam screen of your Audeze pads before you installed them on your T1's?

I would think leaving the foam screen in place would also impact the sound quality, since the stock T1 pads don't have the foam screen covering the drivers.  I have some foam disc screens from Beyerdynamic (comes with the replacement pads by the T1's) and the screens definitely make a difference.

I was very ready to try the Audeze pads with my T1's, but comments in this thread are making me think that buying and trying the Audeze pads might not be a good idea.  I guess it would be an $80 experiment for me as I don't have Audeze cans.

Interesting. Any out of the box pics?
Not having seen them, I think I'd prefer the current color. Black got a bit old in the 80s on audio gear imo...

So I plugged in my T1 for the first time in 2 months and the left channel is dead - completely silent.

I cant remember if the guarantee was 3 years or not. I have mine since June 2013

How could this happen, they were in the box untouched!

Has anyone had this happen before? I wonder will they fix it and if I'm not covered how much would it cost?

I've had great results with Beyer's customer service/warranty...I"d reach out to them directly.

Cabbage...pretty sure the warranty is 2 years.  And as noted, I've heard nothing but good things about their service facility...I think in New York.  Good luck !!!
