"The Lab"

Hey labsters I'm listening ALI CKR9-LTD through my Meizu M1 Note and I'm loving these pairing to death. Even beats my Ap100 in sound quality. Much more refinement with bigger and deeper soundstage along with much better instrument placement.

Edit: Ap100 sounds congested compared to M1 Note.

How much did you pay for the M1?

Only with my sanity.
That's ridiculously cheap! Second hand?

No it was new.

No but it supports USB otg. No problem for me. Meizu M5 Pro will support microSD card if you can spend more.

Yeah the Meizu Pro 5 looks really interesting as do the LG V10. Tough decision, the Pro 5 reports talk about very good battery life while the V10 seem to have very poor battery life with hifi mode activated.

My guess is that the amp in the V10 will be significantly more powerful than that on the Pro 5 (and therefore also will consume more power).

In the end it may well be a choice (at least for me) of adding an external amp the few times it's needed or have the extra power all the time.

I'm really looking forward to real world reports on both of these.....

What about the M2 Note?

They are inferior to M1 Note. Nothing to write home about. You can check the reviews of both on gsmarena.

Just posted a review of Voxoa / BTunes VXB wireless BT4.0 w/apt-X adapter: http://www.head-fi.org/t/784505/review-of-voxoa-btunes-vxb-bluetooth-4-0-apt-x-adapter-don-t-just-cut-your-headphones-wire-get-rid-of-it

This little thing is sick!!! Turning your full size with removable wire (3.5mm or 2.5mm) -> wireless.

Speak of the devil, I was just thinking of getting something like this for my headphones. Is there a female port version of this by any chance? I wonder how it would compare to the Noble audio BT receiver? Fantastic review by the way. Wish the dongle (giggity :p) was a little smaller so as to look more inconspicuous but am surprised at how well the BT sound quality fared with the wired version.

Btw looking forward to your M100 review! Do you have any other full size can reviews in the pipeline?

If you're looking for a great sounding Bluetooth reciever with 3,5 mm output I'd suggest to take a look at the Elecom PAR500.

You will still habe to carry around that cable with it though
