Can someone give me the email I need to contact to get the WS55 pads straight from Audio Technica?

No one should even be on the fence about buying these.

Best headphones I've ever had!

Hello I got that info off the audio technica international site so do a Google and their main site it will direct you to the area for you.
Do the "leg work" and find out as the ws55 pads are so good and worth any effort to get especially since the price is low!

So Brain replied me about the mod.

I'm not sure I can do a detachable cable mod to those particular headphones. Standard re-cable means... ? Are you asking the cheapest re-cable? That would be the budget recable which is $43 per headphone. Come with a 4ft copper cable with a straight 3.5mm TRS connector.

For $43 recable you won't even hear a difference, total waste of money, may look better though....minimum you need OCC cryoed copper.  Four feet of Mogami W2894 cryoed cost is $10.

Yeah, OK, but...do they ship to Europe too? And the price?

I don't mind waiting...thanks for reporting back though.

How durable are these? At the moment I think these are my second choice to the MDR-V6s when I get new headphones
These are VERY durable, I through them and drop them and stand w/ the wire in them all the time, they're very well made! :D
